COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Quote from one of the brewers when I asked him what style it was :- "We made our own and its called Kompaan 20 ;-) I guess Its between a blond beer and an IPA. what do you think? De Paas described it as a blond beer that taste like a tripel but drinks as a pils."

Very huge, dense, yellowish head over faintly veiled, very carbonated yellow beer. White, candi sugar, garden herbs, pale malts, bit toasted too. Bitterish, very (EU) hoppy, straw, dry hopbales, again this lightly toasted streak, giving a fleeting idea of lemoncake. Wheatimpression. Slight astringency, bit burning MF. Spritzy carbonation, rather light body. An IPA with EU hops? Nearly if not utterly impossible - but this is a pretty good attempt. Like it.

Taste: fruity start, some citrus, bit sweet, bitter hops. Aftertaste: bitter, bit grassy, citrus, some grapefruit, dry bitter ending, some yeast.

Cloudy gold with a frothy, white, lacy, lasting head. Smells of citrus-lemon, grass, fruity and herbal hops right away. Very IPA. A great blend of hops. Medium oily body with medium carbonation. Nice malty base with lots of hops, peaches, citrus and grass bitterness on the finish. A great IPA/Belgian Ale mix. Super easy to drink and refreshing.

Aroma is quite fresh and citrusy. Flavour is quite like a spicy, peppery white beer combined with the strong bitter hop finish of an IPA.

Bottle @ home. Hazy golden pour, thin white head. Aroma is very spicy, peppery and fruity. Flavor is bitter spices, some floral hops, slightly yeasty and a tiny bit chemical. Nice full body and well balanced.

Bottle. Pours hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is citric, flowery, yeast and some biscuit. Taste is fresh with some malt, a bit citric and a bitter finish. High carbo which suits the beer well, but it could be a bit less.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 20 Feb 2013) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of bread, citrus, peaches and grass. Malty, fruity taste with peaches, honey, citrus and grassy hops in a finish with a generous bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Very fresh and highly drinkable. Nice one.
