COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Quote from one of the brewers when I asked him what style it was :- "We made our own and its called Kompaan 20 ;-) I guess Its between a blond beer and an IPA. what do you think? De Paas described it as a blond beer that taste like a tripel but drinks as a pils."

Bottle. Slight hazy golden with big white head. Yeast, sweet malts with some citrus and herbs. Quite dry but still some sweetness. Light bitter finish with some lingering yeast. Nice crisp feel. Nothing too interesting here but nothing offensive either.

A hazy yellow body with a large white head and a thick yeast slurry left behind in the bottle. The nose has an interesting mix of yeast and fruity hops and reminds of the smell of a sterile package of bandages. The taste is smooth, mildly bitter and with a dry finish. Carbonation is on the soft side and the palate feels light without being watery. This is intetesting, a mix of several styles but it works.

I generally really like hoppy Belgian ales and this beer doesn’t fall into the trap of keeping too much crisp carbonation with crisp bitter hops. A mellow and balanced approach.

33cl bottle @ home from Bert’s Bierhuis, Utrecht. Hazy yellow color, minimal white mostly diminishing fair lacing head. Aroma caramel, belgian yeast, tropical fruits, hops. Medium sweetness, light to medium bitterness, light citric sourness, hint of salt. Medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation, light sweetish hoppy finish. Easy to drink, refreshing, delicious hoppy blode-ish ale.
