Bottle. Pours black and tan. Aroma: roast, chocolate, ash. Taste: roast, ash, coffee, cocao, red wine. Medium bitter, medium sweet, medium body, pretty lively carbonation, bittersweet and vinous finish. Lovely!

Bottle... Clear dark-crimson pour with a mid-sized, frothy, off-white head. Great retention. The aroma is all about chocolate. Big-time chocolate. Medium-bodied and lightly creamy with prickly carbonation. The flavor is super chocolaty and intensely bitter. Furnishes, burnt and bitter, and then dry.

33cl bottle @ home from Bert’s Bierhuis, Utrecht. Nearly black color, medium brownish creamy mostly lasting excellent lacing head. Aroma mild roasted coffee in the nose, dark roasted coffee mouthfeel, light smoke, roasted malt, soy sauce, toast, light vanilla, later quite hoppy, alcohol is hidden but goes quickly into my head. Taste light sweetness, heavy roasty medium bitterness. Full body, sticky texture, soft to flat carbonation, long lasting roasty bitter finish. Relative easy to drink, delicious middle weight stout.

33 cl bottle @ home, BBE info missing
Aroma is ashy with urinal and bretta(!) notes. Flavour is somewhat tart with leathery bretta tones, some roastiness, ash and licorice. Port is well hidden behind the tartness. I wonder if it is intended?

First impression is just WOW. Aroma of strong alcohol like brandy and red wine is so definite. There’s a small note of vanilla in the end of the aroma. It’s completely dark, non-transparent, with small light brown head and a big lacing. The taste is simply amazing. It’s so stodgy and super smooth in the meantime, that You’re whacked by it immediately. It’s absurdly heavy, it’s like one sip You have to swallow three times. It feels like it will stay in Your mouth for ever. But in the same time it’s not thick and pitchy, maybe a little bit. The taste realy reminds the Porto wine. It’s sweet, alcoholic a bit. In the and there is endless aftertaste of musty barrel.

Bottle at the Global Craft Beer Festival, Berlin. Pour is black with a thin head, aroma is caramel, malt and toffee. Taste is coffee, malts, light chocolate, fairly balanced, minimal alcohol notes. Very good
