A Dubbel / Porter mix.

Bottle at Pint Shop, Cambridge on 28 June. Poured a dark brown, with a dense beige head. Aroma of spice, dark fruit and candied peal. Roast malt flavours, with some cloves and fruitcake; more typical dubbel flavours. Finish was burnt malt, spice and bitter hop. Good hybrid beer.

Draft at Leids Bierfestival. Pours a dark brown with a tiny tan head and an aroma of roasted malts, cacao, overripe fruits, moccha, toffee and port. The taste is slightly sweet with lots of complexity and lots of hops and some spicyness in the finish. Really nice beer!

Bottle 33cl. Black with a nice beige foamy head. Roasted malt and some yeast in the nose. Good bitterness present in the taste which distinguish it from a trappist (heard that the brewer wanted to create a style between trappist and stout). This is more a stout. Good length. Very nice beer

Poured in a tulip, forms a big beige head with a nice lacing. Aroma solidly malted, with notes of raisins, cognac, vanilla and a bit herbal. Taste is sweet, bit roasted with a bitter aftertaste. Feels pretty heavy-bodied in the mouth. Good beer, better than most dubbels out there.
