3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy, very dark brown body with a well-lasting light brown head. Nose has roasty aromas of coffee, chokolate and caramel. Taste is quite sweet with chokolatey notes and a smooth dry finish. Carbonation is very high and the palate feels light until the carbonation settles down. This is nice, like a very carbonated stout with a well presented chokolate character and good balance.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
una porter stratosferica con un carattere complesso che va oltre lo stile classico inglese, arricchendolo di un’intensità di caffé e cacao che si intreccia sul palato regalando una bevuta indimenticabile. Da bere e ribere!!!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
0,33l fles, bruin en crème schuimkraag. Geur is caramel en toffee, smaak is volzoet met een beetje cacao als bijsmaak. In de afdronk komt er een bittertje bij. Geen slecht bier alleen wel erg zoet voor een porter.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
bottle, shared with kraddel and dennoman, thanks to kermis. Pours intense brown with a nice creamy long lasting head. Aroma of coffee and chocolate, a slight madeira touch, and lots of candi Sugar, what makes it more of a belgian strong ale than a real porter. Medium body yet a tad watery. Taste is ruled by slight coffee notes.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
33cl bottle @ home from Bert’s Bierhuis, Utrecht. Brown color, small creamy mostly diminishing fair lacing head. Aroma roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, light smoke, licorice, light caramel, more and more hops, very good balance. Taste hint of sweetness, heavy bitterness, light coffeeish sourness. Full body, sticky texture, soft carbonation, long lasting roasty bitter finish. Great not too heavy dessert beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a large frothy light brown head that slowly diminishes. Body is black.
Aroma contains roasted and toasted malts, molasses, some yeasts and hops like citrus fruits, licorice and red and dried fruits.
Taste is light acidic, then light bitter and light aweet, then sweet and bitter and finally bitter.
Body is medium with syrupy texture and soft carbonation.
It really is something between a dubbel and a porter, it has elements of both which makes it rather special. I like it for a change.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
In aroma it’s very malty and there is also a bit caramel. Color is very dark copper, almost black. Small head with beautiful lacing. In taste is sweet, also malty. I was told it suppose to be something between porter and stout, but for me there is to much malts in it. For me it’s more something in the middle between dark pilsener and porter. Btw in overall it’s very good.
