COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our brewers wanted to make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water. Big Wave Golden Ale is just the ticket. Big Wave is a lighter bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor – a smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and our special blend of hops provides bright quenching finish. 10.3°

Malts: Pale (Premium 2-Row), Caramel
Hops: Galaxy, Citra

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Bottle, 355ml. A slightly hazy golden colour with a small white head. Aroma of fresh citrus hops with a slight coriander note. Flavour has soft citrus, coriander and a little hop spice. High carbonation. Quite drinkable but not very exciting.

rauchbier (3764) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - MAY 25, 2016
Bottle, from Waitrose. Pale gold, fluffy but shortlived white head, good condition. Pleasant but muted sweet lemon-citrus in the nose, with some background biscuity malt notes, soft and a little thin in the mouth with just a touch of lemon sherbert to brighten things up, some floral hoppiness gives it a late flourish but this gives the finish a steely dry bitterness that a lack of body only accentuates.

Bottle at KØ16. Hazy yellow colour. Small white head. Fruity flavour, grassy hoppiness. Quite mild flavour, but has a good hop burn in the finish.
