3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Nose is richly citric and jammy, tons of great fruity hop character, orange peel probably in the fore with light tropical essences and more than a touch of spicy caramel. Rich clear golden with carbonation a tick above average, a dish-soapy white head. Taste faintly bitter (like, well, and English Bitter) with faint astringency and grain, oily and dry, some lemony citrus and good smooth wood character, light spice, touch papery and chalky. More pale malt than caramel (that notion is long departed). Medium-full body, filling and satisfying, clean and somewhat refreshing.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden, thin head. Mild pale malt nose. Taste is lightly fruity hop (lilikoi) and mild pale malts, with a modest level of bitterness. Good for type, ended up drinking a lot of it in Hawaii thanks to its ubiquity.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle at Honest Burger, Camden on 11 Oct. Poured a hazy, pale golden with a dense white head. Aroma of muted hops, esters and soft fruit. Malt forward flavour, some caramel and grassy, herbal notes. Finish was butterscotch, mineral and boiled sweets. Probably would have been nicer if it were a little fresher.

Złote, mętnawe piwo z lekkim, białym kożuchem i egzotycznym aromatem. W smaku gęste, lekko cytrusowe oraz egzotyczne z wyrazistą, chmielową goryczką na finiszu.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a clear yet strong golden yellow with a 1 finger head that leaves a medium lacing. Aroma is a resin and vanilla malt with hints of nuts and cereal. Taste is a malt with a nutty but bready taste and leaves the palate with a moist and lightly carbonated feel. This isn’t a bad beer and is refreshing for a summer day but also could be a lot better and fuller.

1.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
355 ml bottle bought at Great Food Hall in Pacific Place, Admiralty during Summer’s “American Food Festival” promotion.
Translucent golden yellow colour; Razor-thin head and residual soapy white foam which fades in 10 seconds; Minimal sticky lacing with notable slight carbonation; Fragrant and sweet aroma of light Ale malt, with grapefruit, passion fruits, light jackfruits, floral, honey, molasses,
light lemon and faint grass; Near zero sweet taste of light malt, with faint grapefruit, light jackfruit, very light passion fruits, molasses notes, lemon notes and notes of bitter hops; Light body, watery palate; Mouth feel is thin Golden Ale - maltyness is barely mentionable, almost as bland and tasteless as the Anchor Summer Beer I just had this afternoon. No sweetness, no yeast, near zero hops sums it up. Boooooring… Hoppiness is neat citrus, passion fruits, jackfruits and floral in nose, barely detectable citrus and tropical fruits in taste. Almost no bitterness, just watery finish; Slightly dry after taste. Very easy to mouth.
Comments: This could easily be just as underwhelming as the Longboard Island Lager. As a Golden Ale, its only redeeming value being the rather neat fruity aroma. That’s it, the rest is as empty as a black hole. Near the bottom of the pile. Forgettable.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(bottle, 35.5cl) Clear, golden colour with a blond and short foamy head. Fruity hoppy aroma with notes of citrus, tangerine, pineapple and mango, backed by a delicately biscuity malty background. Mildly bitter and slightly sweet flavour, light bodied with a soft carbonation. Dry and slightly biscuity cara-malty base with a fresh and fruity, slightly exotic hops; dry, bitter and slightly sweet malty finish. Enjoyed it a lot. 07.X.14
