COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our brewers wanted to make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water. Big Wave Golden Ale is just the ticket. Big Wave is a lighter bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor – a smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and our special blend of hops provides bright quenching finish. 10.3°

Malts: Pale (Premium 2-Row), Caramel
Hops: Galaxy, Citra

Bottle from Rudat in Dortmund. The beer pours out in a deep golden colour with steady low head and medium body. Aroma of hops and mild fruits. Taste of mild hops, malt, bread, herbs and pine. Hints of spices and mild fruits. Easy drinkable, yet nothing special.

EithCubes (5089) - New Jersey, USA - OCT 18, 2014
Bottle. Nose is richly citric and jammy, tons of great fruity hop character, orange peel probably in the fore with light tropical essences and more than a touch of spicy caramel. Rich clear golden with carbonation a tick above average, a dish-soapy white head. Taste faintly bitter (like, well, and English Bitter) with faint astringency and grain, oily and dry, some lemony citrus and good smooth wood character, light spice, touch papery and chalky. More pale malt than caramel (that notion is long departed). Medium-full body, filling and satisfying, clean and somewhat refreshing.

Oakes (12789) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 17, 2014
Golden, thin head. Mild pale malt nose. Taste is lightly fruity hop (lilikoi) and mild pale malts, with a modest level of bitterness. Good for type, ended up drinking a lot of it in Hawaii thanks to its ubiquity.

"it’s not bad, but not a beer i can get into. there’s just not anything there to catch your interest. if you’re bothering with a microbrew, go a little bolder...C-."

Beese (2560) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 16, 2014
Bottle at Honest Burger, Camden on 11 Oct. Poured a hazy, pale golden with a dense white head. Aroma of muted hops, esters and soft fruit. Malt forward flavour, some caramel and grassy, herbal notes. Finish was butterscotch, mineral and boiled sweets. Probably would have been nicer if it were a little fresher.
