Our brewers wanted to make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water. Big Wave Golden Ale is just the ticket. Big Wave is a lighter bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor – a smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and our special blend of hops provides bright quenching finish. 10.3°

Malts: Pale (Premium 2-Row), Caramel

Out of the bottle from Uptown. Pours golden with a head that disappears quickly. Slightly hoppy smell, but a little off at the same time. Pretty solid taste for a cheaper beer.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a clear pale gold with a small white head. Oddly fruity nose with slightly herbal hop notes. Maybe a little pineapple and grapefruit in there. A touch of graininess too. The flavor follows the nose almost perfectly. Light in body with average carbonation. Easy drinking summer fare. Remind me a little of Summer Love.

honestly a solid middle of the road blond ale. not exciting but decent and refreshing enough to possibly be a gateway beer for megabrew swillers.

yellow pout with a hint of copper, little to no head - aroma of hay, slight spruce and citrus - light sweetness, lightly bitter, lightly sour, medium body, average carbonation - finsishes with sour grain and light resiny hops

12 oz from Roth’s Vista Market Salem, $1.34. Typical golden yellow coloured ale but the head is large, thick and creamy. Very strange and delightful fruit aromas..papaya and pineapple..there is nothing on the bottle to suggest such additives but they are there! Again lots of light fruitiness in the beer but more trad for a blonde..some cereal malt..but overall very light and refreshing. Palate is thin as expected. Overall an strange ale and had it been mid July by the lake ,,it would have got a better marks for its refreshing qualities

UPDATED: JUN 15, 2013 Light and refreshing with an unusual fruitiness, like ambrosia salad but without any distinct flavors of pineapple or coconut. Great change of pace from other "summer" beers.

Draft at Momo's. Clear light gold pour with virtually no head. Faint aroma of pale grains, fruitiness, and citrus. Light in flavor with pale malts, light fruitiness and a crisp finish. Nothing spectacular.

Pour is clear yellow with a small white head. Aroma is of slight citrus fruits with a hint of grass. Flavor is pretty weak, light bodied, and just overall lacking. Somewhat malty, very carbonated.
