COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our brewers wanted to make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water. Big Wave Golden Ale is just the ticket. Big Wave is a lighter bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor – a smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and our special blend of hops provides bright quenching finish. 10.3°

Malts: Pale (Premium 2-Row), Caramel
Hops: Galaxy, Citra

12oz Bottle. I got a six pack of this while visiting Plano Texas. I hadn’t had any beer from our beautiful island state but i will probably be giving the other beers this brewery has to offer. the Big Wave is fruity in aroma and has a pleasant aftertaste. I say give it a shot if you like this style of brew. This is a very refreshing little beverage.

Clear gold, good looking. Sweet malt, flowers, some dusty hops in the tail. Too perfumed for my liking, but some flavour is better than no flavour in my book!

Bottle. Tropical fruit, citrus, and cat pee hops aroma. Clear gold with a moderate white head. Biscuity malt, musty citrus hops, tropical fruit flavor. Light body, moderate carbonation. Not shabby.

It tastes light, but with more prominent hops. Citrusy. Refeshing for warmer weather.

Pours gold with a short, just-off-white head. Scent is light fruit, herbal hops. Taste is pleasant citrus, malt, a bit of grain. Easy drinking and likeable...crisp.

Purchased at Binny’s in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home prior to leaving for another extended work trip. Appearance is a pale clear yellow with not much head. Aroma mostly of malt, more bready than caramel, smells OK. Taste is average, and tastes like every other golden ale out there. It’s beer, and beer is good, but it’s just an OK beer.

The big wave was not a bad golden ale, but I have had better. Enjoyed this with a pile of BBQ from Rudy's in Phoenix. It is a fun bottle and name, but don't always judge a beer by its label. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Bottle from Ølhandleriet, Mathallen, enjoyed at home
Golden, thin white head that falls down to nothing almost instantly. Smells of peach and mango, some malts. Taste is moderate to medium sweet, much the same as the aroma, peach power! For me it feels more like a beer with peach syrup than a beer with hop aromas of peach. The sweetness kills of the the bitterness i’m afraid.
