Our brewers wanted to make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water. Big Wave Golden Ale is just the ticket. Big Wave is a lighter bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor – a smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and our special blend of hops provides bright quenching finish. 10.3°

Lots of body for 4.4% ABV. But bland taste wit little hop contribution. Bud yellow color.

Nummenrannassa. A bit watery, still quite refreshing light ale. Grassy feeling.

Gee weez, where do I begin? Sorry, I’m a bit overwhelmed right now with this awesome beer. Oh yeah, bottling date = "April 04, 2014." Sigh, yeah, before I actually get into this, I’ll admit, yeah man, this is great stuff. I had this in a pint glass. The appearance, wow, what a show! There’s a semi-hazy golden/blonde color with barely any carbonation surfacing but what you’ll notice is that it is there, but just delicately slides to the surface into the head. The head is about a finger’s worth of soft white foaminess that ends up concaving and leaving a nice clingy semi-thick foaminess that ends up spider-webbing a bit here and there. The smell, wow, once again, there’s almost a perfect blend of the caramel malts to the citrusy hops with just a touch of spice (is that the Galaxy hops, I think, honestly I’m still learning hops a bit to be honest). The taste, well, it takes all of those previously mentioned flavors and blends them just about perfectly. The aftertaste is superb with probably the absolute best blend of flavorings to delicately touch my taste buds. On the palate, this one sits fairly light but has just enough carbonation to make everything feel sublime. Overall, Kona, where the heck did you pull this one out of? Way to go as I’ll go out on a limb and say you’ve made the best American Blond Ale known to the beer world!

Pours a bright clear golden color with white head. Cereal grain, caramel malt, and a little tropical hop on the nose; follows onto the palate. For being a simple golden ale, this is a great example of the style.

Honey-blonde Hawaiian babe that probably actually smells like a Hawaiian surfer girl...tropical fruits, pine and citrus and caramel and bready funk, likely from surfing and sweating all day in the sun. A nice sweetness to it, like a mango/papaya white fruitcake. I’d partake again but she’d probably leave me for a surfer dude. The beer I mean.

Bottle. Pours light golden with a creamy finger thick head. Aroma is a strange mix of roasted malts and citrusy hops. Quite light body with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet with light malts and grain, with some strange, unfitting and almost barnyard-ish straw and grass notes.

22 FL OZ ($2.99) pretty decent fruity beer. Very unique flavor and is totally worth trying if you’re into the fruity beers. Under the 5% mark making this a non mans beer.

Very nice, refreshing, and medium bodied golden ale. Caramel malt and pine/citrus hop characteristics.

Nice white foam. Golden color. Goes down easy. Little bit watery. Would say this is a nice summer beer.
