Our brewers wanted to make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water. Big Wave Golden Ale is just the ticket. Big Wave is a lighter bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor – a smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and our special blend of hops provides bright quenching finish. 10.3°

Malts: Pale (Premium 2-Row), Caramel
Hops: Galaxy, Citra

Had it at the Chicago Craft Beer Festival 6/22/13. Had. Clear yellow color, a very citrusy aroma. Light tasting beer, good summer ale, not great.

It’s an odd combination of fruitness and beer...almost flowery taste, but with a decent aroma. It’s not terribly bad, but just doesn’t have very much kick to it. Decent drinkable ale.

OK...site and setting were (almost) everything when I drank this on a bluff overlooking the Pacific O. on the Kauai north shore. Seemed perfect...the beer too ;-)

Tasted at Chicago Craft Beer Festival. Clear light golden with a thin white head. Very subtle hop aroma. Watery taste. Not much here unless you want something do light you can drink all day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

An easy drinking light ale. This beer's Hawaiian heritage definitely shows through - smells like pears and has a tropical fruit aftertaste. Features a floral, almost sweet, hoppy taste, very straightforward. Unusual in that it almost tastes like fruit juice mixed with beer, but makes for a successful refreshing brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

God litt syrlig duft. Fin gyllen farge. Friskt og godt øl med en herlig syrlig smak og en god sittende ettersmak. Et nydelig øl i solveggen eller til mat.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a very softly carbonated transparent light golden orange colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The mild aroma was floral and musty. The smooth crisp clean mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of floral hops and malt. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

Bottle from Mary Jane’s. Like the last guy, a good lawn mower beer. Pretty straight forward with a good dose of hop bitterness. Not too shabby

Foamy head over clear golden body. Aroma of bread, peach, malt, and maybe some ginger. Taste of butter cookies, some ginger, some spice and honey. Palate very light. Actually that pretty much describes the beer: very light. Good lawnmower beer
