Our brewers wanted to make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water. Big Wave Golden Ale is just the ticket. Big Wave is a lighter bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor – a smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and our special blend of hops provides bright quenching finish. 10.3°

Malts: Pale (Premium 2-Row), Caramel
Hops: Galaxy, Citra

Free six pack from a work function...Aroma was of light hops. From the smell I thought this would be a solid beer. Unfortunately, I was wrong. For me, this was too watery. The hops hit you a bit at first, but then it fades into nothingness. It reminded me of one of those fake "Craft" beers that Budweiser produces.

Murky yellow with a light white head that dissipates quickly. Subtle hop flavor, light and a bit sweet. Easy drinking light beer with decent flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I’m a huge fan of this beer. It is very drinkable, cleans the palate, goes down easy. It’s not heavy nor is it intrusive and pairs well with spicy food. I especially go for this brew on hot days. The fruity undertone (apricot? I haven’t figured it out yet) is sublime, actually. It gives this ale a nice lift, a nice aroma. The personality of this beer is subtle, calm, content - in contrast to, for example, an IPA or a dark amber, which can be very bold and dominate the palate. I go for this beer when I’ve had enough of everything else. It hits the reset switch, it is always good and I can always go for one more!

Had it at the Chicago Craft Beer Festival 6/22/13. Had. Clear yellow color, a very citrusy aroma. Light tasting beer, good summer ale, not great.

It’s an odd combination of fruitness and beer...almost flowery taste, but with a decent aroma. It’s not terribly bad, but just doesn’t have very much kick to it. Decent drinkable ale.
