COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our brewers wanted to make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water. Big Wave Golden Ale is just the ticket. Big Wave is a lighter bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor – a smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and our special blend of hops provides bright quenching finish. 10.3°

Malts: Pale (Premium 2-Row), Caramel
Hops: Galaxy, Citra

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle marked 10:41-MAR 14 14. Golden pale yellow pour with a white fizzy heads that dissolves fast. Good toasted biscuit malt aroma on the nose, grain, and a crisp light hop note. Medium and smooth body. The taste starts mildly malty and grainy and ends with a nice bitter bite.

Light and simple. Faint piney hops. Good for a backyard or a BBQ. I could drink a bunch of these in a row.

Flaske 0,355l. Gave fra Rune. Drukket i heimen 4 Apr 14. Gyldengul. Veldig høyt kremaktig skum med mye lacing. Veldig god ferskenaroma. Lite kullsyre. Smaken er også fersken - med underliggende fotsvette.

Overall clean and refreshing, enjoyed straight from the bottle. As advertised it is not overpowering and has a delightful citrus aroma and a bright citrus flavor.

Similar to an IPA but instead of a pine flavor it had pineapple/grapefruit. Pretty good.

Bottle at home. Aroma is non descript - honey, hops, malt. A super light, refreshing, well balanced, Kolsh - like, simple golden ale. A bit of lemony hops. Quaffable.

Bottled 11/25/13 and poured 2/12/14. Appearance: First, I like the shape of the bottle and custom design. Pours clear, pale yellow. Alright lacing. Tiny head. Smell: Pleasant. Little sweet. A light hop aroma. Some malt. A bit grainy. Basic, but a solid smell. The hoppy note was a nice little surprise. Taste/feel: Good brew. Thin feel with moderate carbonation. Good drinkability at only 4.4%. Solid hop flavor without a lot of bitterness. Slight malt sweetness at the end. A good amount of grain Simple, but done very well. A definite summer, or to be more precise, beach beer. Light, refreshing, nice bit of hops, highly sessionable ABV... could have been a very "eh" beer, but it’s actually very solid for the style. Not super interesting, but tasty enough. Would definitely have this one again, especially in the heat when I want something light. My first (and certainly not last) beer from Kona. Mahalo!
