Our brewers wanted to make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water. Big Wave Golden Ale is just the ticket. Big Wave is a lighter bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor – a smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and our special blend of hops provides bright quenching finish. 10.3°

Malts: Pale (Premium 2-Row), Caramel

Tap. Pours a light gold. Great hop aroma. Initial taste had some grapefruit and citrus flavors, like a good IPA but without lots of bitter aftertaste. The flavors wore off slightly as I worked my way through the beer, which was the only down side. This was a pretty good beer and one of the best lower gravity beers I’ve had in awhile.

A surprisingly refreshing drink. Pours golden, small white head. Aroma of hops and tropical fruits, smooth taste of hops, which doesn't get too bitter, has a nice finish.

Bottle from Super Brugsen , CPH - golden coloured pour with white head. Aroma and taste is subdued citrus fruity and grassy, some subtle lemony and floral notes, light to medium malty, easy drinking but pretty basic affair.

Medium golden pour with thin head & a wonderful tropical fruit aroma. Very smooth body but very thin flavor with only a hint of the aroma coming through in the taste. As a summer / session beer this is an excellent choice, though the flavor could be more assertive. Overall highly drinkable thirst quencher & a flavorful alternative to your average light beer.

Bottle courtesy of Tanner. Thanks! Pours clear golden color, white head that fades to nothing. Aroma is mildly hoppy, hints of citrus. Grassy, a bit of grain and sweet malt. Taste is hop forward, much more so than I was expecting. Slightly bitter, slightly sweet. Much hoppier than expected from this style. Light body, highly carbonated. Would drink this again.

Beer is golden with a small head. Aroma is grapefruity and piny with loads of resinous hoppiness. Mouthfeel is light with light flavors of malt and hops. Quite dry and well balanced finish. Nice! :)

355ml bottle pours a clear golden color with a vigorously poured finger of white head that settles to reveal some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is cereal grains and citrus. Taste is a spicy and citrus hop bitterness with a grainy malt sweetness. Light bodied with nice carbonation to tickle the tongue. Overall, a nice refreshing easy to drink ale.

hazy yellow. almost no head. Smells like straight up black tea / green tea with honey. It also actually tastes like tea with lemon. like some weird arnold palmer, shandy. strange beer
