COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our brewers wanted to make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water. Big Wave Golden Ale is just the ticket. Big Wave is a lighter bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor – a smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and our special blend of hops provides bright quenching finish. 10.3°

Malts: Pale (Premium 2-Row), Caramel
Hops: Galaxy, Citra

Pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is grassy hops and malt but very mild. Flavor is light malt, grassy hops, and a sweet finish. Medium body with medium carbonation. Not bad.

355 ml bottle from Liviko Alcostore in Tallinn harbour (€ 2,19), Sept 2014. So the brewers say they wanted to "make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water" - how about after a day out in freezing rain and wind? I’ll give it a try anyway. Pours a slightly hazy pale golden with a small white head that nonetheless keeps and laces. Nose is quite a restrained, sweet tropical fruitiness. Gets more succulent as it warms, but also maltier. Taste is less juicy, quite malty. Palate a bit watery, it’s got a light to medium body and a rather crisp carbonation. An average beverage with a more inviting aroma than taste. A nice thirst quencher, it indeed goes down really easy.

Golden color. Nose has fruits and hops but promises more than taste can deliver. Taste ends up being bland and watery. Good for chugging down on a hot Hawaii day; not much else.

Clear gold with small, short lived head. The aroma has some sweet malt and a bit of citrusy hops. The flavor is pretty much the same. Doesn’t finish very crisp, has a lot of lingering sweetness, does have a somewhat bland flavor.

Golden beer, small white head. Nose is caramel sweetness, malt, tropical fruit, hops, perfume. Flavor is malts, fruity perfume, dry finish with delicate hoppy bitterness. Light and easily drinkable. Not too shabby.

Free beer. Gets me my 39th state rating. Not a blonde ale fan. This didn’t change my mind. Pours straw color. Highly carbonated with a bitter bite. Bottle - Source Unknown

Pours a clear light gold with a decent head. Aroma is very faint of grassy hops and light malt really not much aroma. Taste follows the aroma. Very light beer for an ale. I was expecting A bit more flavor. A bit more flavorful after warming Up a bit I’ve had lagers with much more flavor and character Than this. Great for a hot day or a session beer. Or if you like light beer.
