COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our brewers wanted to make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water. Big Wave Golden Ale is just the ticket. Big Wave is a lighter bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor – a smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and our special blend of hops provides bright quenching finish. 10.3°

Malts: Pale (Premium 2-Row), Caramel
Hops: Galaxy, Citra

From a bottle into a frosted glass, pours light golden with a fizzy head that disappears quickly. Aroma starts as hops but gives way to a backdrop of yeast. Flavor is somewhat hoppy, light, refreshing, a bit of yeast, maybe some citrus. Not bad.

Salmoniform (459) - Sweet Home, Oregon, USA - JUL 11, 2014
Poured from tap to glass at the Kailua brewery. Crystal clear golden hue with delicate white head that dissipated to a thin ring. Aroma is straw, tangerine, cereal, guava. Mouthfeel is refreshing with a light body and soft but zesty carbonation. Taste is dry grainy sweetness throughout with a slight bitter following and clean finish. Overall this is a decent brew but is a bit heavy on the cereal essence.

From a tap. Small fuzzy head. Cloudy yellow-orange. Grassy aroma and taste, average lager but reacted well to a lime.

Clear golden with white fizzy head. Sweet aroma with a little citrus. Easy-drinking, refreshing summer-ish beer. Okay.

SDalkoholic (2124) - Linda Vista, California, USA - JUN 30, 2014
Bottle from Wal Mart: Poured a golden lager with almost no formation of fizzy head. The aroma is tame with scents of light grain malt. The drink is simple and bland with minimal amount of hop and grassy malt but this beer is nothing memorable and overpriced compared to all the other micros on the shelves.

Malty on the palate with a good amount of carbonation and a spicy aftertaste but I don’t think it is from spices but the yeast. Golden in appearance just like it says and very refreshing and crisp. Overall a well rounded session beer.

Pour light oak yellow, white head. Nutty, light hops. Refreshing. Meh beer, minimal malt light hops. Good golden.
