Our brewers wanted to make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water. Big Wave Golden Ale is just the ticket. Big Wave is a lighter bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor – a smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and our special blend of hops provides bright quenching finish. 10.3°

Malts: Pale (Premium 2-Row), Caramel
Hops: Galaxy, Citra

Pours a clear, thin golden with a minimal white head. I was impressed with the aroma. It is very citrus and fruity. Lots of peaches especially, with orange, pineapple, and floral hops. The taste really sours unfortunately. It retains a bit of the strong peach impressions, but is actually more bland. Maybe somewhat grainy, but the best deScription is that it is almost lacking any taste. Thin, watery body. This really began with much promise from my first impression, but turned out to be a disappointment.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a medium thick, well retained white head, over a clear effervescent light gold (SRM 4) body......nose is light toasted malts with hinits of bread crust, light herbal hops.....taste is lightly sweet with pear apple notes, mild toasted cereal, finishing with mild hop bitterness......mouth feel, light body, no alcohol,, high carbonation with light acid. This is a light example of this light style. It is not particularly interesting in either aroma or flavor and the recipe could use a bit of re-work to increase the complexity of both. 12 oz bottle shared with ebone1988. The pour is a a darker golden yellow with a cap of of white head that falls down to a collar. The aroma is dirt. People that call it earth are full of shit. There is a little hop hidden in there, but it's all dirt. The flavor is decently juicy hops and a little bit of caramel malt. There isn't any dirt here, but it's really mellow. The mouth feel is thin and light with a little syrupy texture that doesn't make sense. There is a little juicy hop on the back end and a light maltiness. Not too bad at all ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared with koleminer20. Aroma is "earthy", another word is dirt, some hop but not much. Appearance is golden, white head. Taste is decent, nice hop presence and easy drinking. Mouthfeel is a touch light, not crisp but still doing the job. Overall, better than expected for sure.

Bottle - from sampler pack. Light golden - cloudy. Some malt aroma. Weak with slight hop aftertaste and a slight unidentified off-flavor, Meh. Least favorite of the pack.

Murky orange, sunset body, white head, not much retention or lacing. Pleasant but faint citrus, tropical fruit aroma. Taste is faintly sweet, maybe some tropical fruit again and yeast, but rather watery. Palate is a little soft. Overall, okay.

Bottle. Slightly cloudy pale golden pour with a small white head. Aroma is light citrus and some sweet candy. Flavour is very mild citrus and a touch of caramel. Certainly not bad - just very light and kind of thin.

Easy drinking golden ale, with a good balance of pale malts and fruity esthers. Easy to drink in a hot summers day and a good thirst quencher.
