COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big Wave is a light golden ale with a subtle fruitiness and delicate hop aroma. A smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The lightly roasted honey malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and also gives a slight sweetness that is balanced out by our special blend of hops.

Draught at Kona Brewing Company - KoKo Marina Pub, 5.4% ABV
Deep blond color, with generous compact head, leaving a sticky lace. The aroma is perfumy, hoppy, fresh, with delicate fruitiness. The mouthfeel is drier than expected, the flavor is rather anonymous, with some dry malt, and hints of good hops; ordinary bitterness, into a very dry final.
Promising aroma, disappointing flavor.

Bottle. It pours a clear, golden body and a minimal sized off-white head. The aroma is peachy, tropical and with hints of maltyness. All rather weak, but it’s pleasant anyway. It’s medium bodied, semi-dry and pleasantly carbonated, with flavors of pale malts in the back, and peachy, tropical fruity hoppyness up front. Could use a bit more bitterness maybe, both initially and in the end, but it’s a nice and refreshing beer anyway. 120623

bhensonb (8954) - Woodland, California, USA - JAN 10, 2013
Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours medium gold with a transient white head. Aroma is quite fruity - perhaps even a hint of resin. Near med body. It’s lightly bready, and there is an initial decent fruit hop flavor - but it sort of drops off and gets overly bready. Despite that it finishes towards dry, and the hop never really goes away. It’s just way too light - but if it were amped up it might be fabulous.
