I had this at Global Brew. Pours yellow with a white head. Taste slightly sweet, lightly fruity, refreshing. I thought this was pretty good. I would drink this again.

From a tap. Small fuzzy head. Cloudy yellow-orange. Grassy aroma and taste, average lager but reacted well to a lime.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Wal Mart: Poured a golden lager with almost no formation of fizzy head. The aroma is tame with scents of light grain malt. The drink is simple and bland with minimal amount of hop and grassy malt but this beer is nothing memorable and overpriced compared to all the other micros on the shelves.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Malty on the palate with a good amount of carbonation and a spicy aftertaste but I donít think it is from spices but the yeast. Golden in appearance just like it says and very refreshing and crisp. Overall a well rounded session beer.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle. Pours a clear golden colour with a thin white head that quickly disappeared. Lots of grapefruit with some resinous hops on the nose, light caramel, and light hard water notes. Light bodied, and dry with grapefruit, mineral notes, light tropical fruit and light caramel up front that leads into clean grapefruit with light pine, hard water, and light bitterness in the citrus pith finish. This is a GREAT summer beer. Light bodied, light alcohol, easy drinking, and flavourful. Thumbs up!

Kona Brewing isnít usually high on my shopping list thanks to the awesome array of choices here in San Diego. But at $3 for a tall bottle, it seemed like a no-brainer to try something from there that I havenít yet had a chance to enjoy. Itís a medium golden beer with a touch of haze, most likely from the chill of the refrigerator, and a slight fuzz of white bubbles on top. The smell is thick with white grape juice, a cloying apple juice sweetness, and a slight greek yogurt tang. The taste is much thinner, with just a light layer of apple, which levels off to a light touch of graininess, and a flavor profile that verges on a pallid, gray lifelessness, carried only by a moderate ebullience and a thicker-than-water body. You canít expect a barley wine for $3, but as far as golden ales go, this is very much on the thinner, lighter side. That said, it might fit very well with a day at the beach. Expecting something with a rich flavor profile and a more assertive alcohol dimension? Invest a little more.
