COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our brewers wanted to make a beer that went down easy after a day out on the water. Big Wave Golden Ale is just the ticket. Big Wave is a lighter bodied golden ale with a tropical hop aroma and flavor – a smooth, easy drinking refreshing ale. The use of caramel malt contributes to the golden hue of this beer and our special blend of hops provides bright quenching finish. 10.3°

Malts: Pale (Premium 2-Row), Caramel
Hops: Galaxy, Citra

I had this at Global Brew. Pours yellow with a white head. Taste slightly sweet, lightly fruity, refreshing. I thought this was pretty good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Greg (gregwilson) -- cheers! Amazingly bland, like a Budweiser bottle wearing a fancy label. There’s really very little to comment on here -- it’s light, crisp, and it tastes generally like beer. It’s technically an ale, but it could definitely pass as a lager. Not bad, per se, just eminently forgettable.

Color is light gold. Clear and filtered. Aroma is faint. Hints of malt and grains. Taste is light and crisp. Hints of hops, malt, and grains. Smooth. Not overpowering. Mouthfeel is light and there is very little aftertaste. Does not linger. *12 oz bottle into pint glass ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of hops, straw, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, hops, and straw.

12oz import bb02/2017. Mainly grainy sulphurs and hay in the nose. Proffers some light peach and pineapple rind rests in flavour before vanishing into golden ale oblivion.

40 cl bottle @Amarillo. Almost clear golden colour with a medium white head. Light hoppy aroma, with a moderate maltiness, and moderate "yeastiness". Low to medium body. Medium carbonation. Low bitterness.

Draft. Light golden body with a white collar. Grainy aroma, subtle. Not much in the olfactory senses. Light body and fairly bland. Light citrus and mild bitterness. Eh...

Pours a very clear, very golden color. Well carbonated. About one finger white head. Low retention, okay lacing.

Aroma is very hoppy, but not bitter or citrus hops. I guess herbal hops maybe. Has tropical fruit...papaya maybe? A little bready, a lot sweet.

Taste is mild. Has some sort of weird upfront bitterness, but after that its largely sweet. It’s very hoppy, spicy hoppy, but not bitter. I’m looking for pepper in there, but not finding any. I’m tasting some tropical fruit, maybe orange zest. There may be pear.

Mouthfeel is light bodied. Very refreshing. A little dry, a little oily.

Overall, I like it. A little different. I was surprised by the hops. I would probably recommend this, and I might buy iit again.
