A full-bodied, American-Style I.P.A. that is bronze in color, Castaway IPA is "dry hopped" (aged with liberal amounts of whole hop flowers after fermentation) for assertive hop flavor and aroma. The bitterness is balanced by the malty body of the beer.

Yellow gold. Medium head. Citrus spicy hop aroma. Taste - fresh earthy hop flavors up front. Pine, grapefruit, resinous caramel malt. Solid IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml bottle (Black Door, Helsinki)
Watery aroma, some hint of aromatic fruity sharp hop, not gonna actually say citrussy. A little bit stinky. Sweet bland malty body, some totally emasculated hops. Watery palate, crisp carbonation. Kinda hoppy finish I guess. But deep down this is pants.

(Bottle, 0,355 l - bottled on May 10 14, at Black Door, 20140815) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, fruitiness and mildly malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, grass, malts, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity and bitter. There wasnít really huge faults here but the beer was just mediocre and didnít ring any bell

12oz bottle from Canals Brick. Poured a nice looking dense golden straw body under an average long lasting frothy bright white head. Aroma has lost most of the hop aroma, shocking I know a beer from Hawaii to NJ isnít super fresh. Notes of vanilla candles, grains, potpourri, slight citrus. Nice body, thick and full, almost creamy, average carbonation. Flavor is slightly better than the aroma, notes of old citrus, dough, bland cake, hint of orange meat.

355 ml bottle @ Konttori, Tampere. Brewed and bottled by Craft Brew Alliance, Portland, OR. Marketed as a "hawaiian beer". Pours a slightly hazy yellow colour with a small head. Aroma of sweet caramel, some resinous hoppiness and grapefruit. Flavour of resinous hops, grapefruit, sweetness, some musty earthiness and biscuit. Medium bodied. A bit gimmicky to call this "aloha series" and brew it in Oregon...

12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is grapefruity and slight peachy. Bitter, fruity and light peachy. Crisp hoppy and lingering fruity into a smooth fruity finish.

A nose of hops, but not over powering. A fairly pale color, pours rather thin. The taste starts out dry and then becomes hops, followed by a bitter taste that I'm not able to figure out. -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10
