A full-bodied, American-Style I.P.A. that is bronze in color, Castaway IPA is "dry hopped" (aged with liberal amounts of whole hop flowers after fermentation) for assertive hop flavor and aroma. The bitterness is balanced by the malty body of the beer.

Bottle - Hazy golden color with a a good white head, small lasting and lacing - Aroma is flowery, fruity, mango, exotic fruits, malty with hints of yeast - Flavor is the same but more malty and yeasty, hints of tea - Medium body, medium carbonation, medium bitterness, dry, malty dry bitter fruity finish - Good refreshing, anjoy it with friends, not an exceptional beer but made the job

This is a very drinkable IPA. Great flavor, descent balance with the malts and hops. Good stuff.

nose: pomelo...like scratching the skin and inhaling. palate: think of a buttery, over-hopped pilsner and you have this. it’s quite delicious. clean, minerally, citrusy, with a distinct dry and bitter mexican sweet lime flavor...but without the sweetness.

I have never commented on a bottle before, besides Orval, but this really is thing of beauty and worthy of apraisal. The beer pours nicely in the glass as well. We are dealing with a quite aggresively hopped IPA that balances good, but not great with the malts. Refreshing, though.

Pours a nice clear light honey color with a 2 finger head. Aroma of citrus, and sweet tropical fruit. Flavor matches with addition of light maltyness and a bit of pine. Very refreshing.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized light white colored bubbles that were and left behind a softly carbonated transparent light orange colored body and a thick foamy lacing. The weak aroma was hoppy. The crisp clean mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish hoppy aftertaste. The semi-sharp flavor contained notes of hops. An OK brew just nothing special.

Mild apple, honey. Fruity tropical hops, dry pine, dry hoppy finish. hmm fruitiness is wasted by the sharp dry finish, quite a disappointment.

slightly cloudy gold-light amber color; citrusy hop aroma; a bitter, grapefruit, hoppy flavor on a light bodied malt base

A nice refreshing IPA nutty fruity aroma, with a pure white long lasting head on top of a golden body. Medium bitter taste with just the right amount of sweetness. Medium body for an IPA but would par well with many foods and a long finish. Gave this an above average but not killer score.
