COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full-bodied, American-Style I.P.A. that is bronze in color, Castaway IPA is "dry hopped" (aged with liberal amounts of whole hop flowers after fermentation) for assertive hop flavor and aroma. The bitterness is balanced by the malty body of the beer.

12oz bottle - Aroma - pineapples, citrus, toffee with some light mineral water notes. Appearance - clear amber body with a 1-finger off-white head, some retention Mouthfeel - medium carbonation, medium bodied, slightly puckering Flavor - decent hop profile, but its definitely malt forward. The hops really shine on the back end with a long finish. Overall - Super nice at a really right price, you don’t see many IPA sixers selling for under $8.00 and this was at $7.99. Nothing fancy, just a clean tasting, malt forward IPA that pretty standard.

An orange amber body with a white head that had mild retention. Aroma was a typical mix of citrus and pine. There were subtle notes of mango and maybe citronella. Flavor was mildly sweet upfront. Hops were mostly grapefruit but with just enough pine. Nice bitter finish and slightly dry. Moderate mouth feel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: Copper colored pour, good clarity, and about two fingers of fluffed sandy head. The nose is citrus and tropical fruit, with a little bready malt mixed in. The taste is mainly citrus fruit, light florals, and faintly herbal. Nice lingering bitterness in the tail, but sweet enough to keep it very approachable. Good hop flavor overall.

Hazy sunkissed gold with a thin foamy white cap. Nose is dank and marijuana-ish with some bright orange rind notes. Basic IPA flavor with some earthy pine hops and just a little orange/grapefruity notes, a little citrus rind and dankness, mostly bitter with a slightly metallic off-caramalt finish.

"fairly solid effoert...aromatic as expected, but can’t stand up to their best brews. overall, i’d recommend for hop lovers, otherwise the darks are better."

Bottle from Asahiya. Big stinky nose, pine, weeds, and more than a hint of manure. Medium blonde/straw color. Fruity initial, with citrus rind, resiny hopping, some citrus juiciness, and tropical fruit. Medium body. Harsh on the hopping, but I keep on sipping it. Good stuff. A step up from the level of most Kona beers.
