A full-bodied, American-Style I.P.A. that is bronze in color, Castaway IPA is "dry hopped" (aged with liberal amounts of whole hop flowers after fermentation) for assertive hop flavor and aroma. The bitterness is balanced by the malty body of the beer.

12 oz. bottle poured to a SA lager glass, showing a hazed, orangey gold color, with a fairly lasting, frothy, soft white layer of head foam, and ribbons & spots of lacing. The aroma was an expressive presentation of citrus & tropical notes, with resinous pine that created a strong nose of dank pungency. Medium bodied, with adequate carbonation, the taste offered a pronounced, citrus & rind hop bitterness, with lingering astringency, tempering malt, just a hint of malt sweetness, and some creamy fullness to the mouthfeel. A decent, "aware I’ve been hopped" IPA.

Bottle, 6%. Good fruity hop aroma, mango with a little paper. Cloudy golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour starts off quite bitter. Turns more fruity afterwards, but not sweet. Ends on a clean and dry bitter note.

12oz bottle. Pours a golden yellow with a nice white head of sticky lace. Aroma is fairly subtle, but indicates some hop bitterness. The flavor is far more hop-forward, with resiny bitter hops that hold on well into the finish. Enjoyable.
