12oz brown bottle. Golden colour, fine haze. Thin white head with not much lacing. Nose has grapefruit, grass and cat pee (hmm). Taste has grapefruity hops and light pine notes, light caramel malts. Crisp, dry, light pine aftertaste. Not very bitter, drinks easy. Not as good as I was hoping for.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
nearly clear dark gold pour with a one finger, creamy, off white head, that has decent retention. Aroma is big on citrus, with some nice floral, caramel and cereal notes playing along. Flavor is sweet cereal, biscuit, light caramel, lots of citrus notes, fleshy to zesty and a nice mineral and bitter citrus finish. Medium body, neutral dryish entry, medium carbonation and dry finish. Pretty tasty overall.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
355ml bottle pours a clear golden color with a finger of white head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is pine, citrus and grass with some grains. Taste is a pine, citrus and grassy hop bitterness balanced with a grainy malty sweetness. Light to medium bodied with decent carbonation. A well rounded IPA that is tasty and recommended.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Malty hoppy aroma. More piney hops. Taste is full flavored, malty and finishes piney and bitter. Not a bad beer if you like the piney bitter hops. Has a lighter feel that would make it session able, but still full bodied.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, shared by me... in my dining room... just now.
Pours perfectly clear, a pale golden color with a medium to small head and nice lacing on the glass.
The aroma has some melon and citrus forward hops as well as a little bit of toasty and caramel forward malt.
The flavor is hop forward and keeps the maltiness & subsequent sweetness decently well at bay. Nice flavors of melon and lime rind work well alongside a moderate bitterness and a low alcohol flavor.
enjoyable on all accounts.

Standard but delicious IPA. Notes of citrus and pine with a toffee sweetness to balance it out. Crisp and pretty bitter.

Pours orange with mid-sized white head. Amazing aroma of tropical fruit, pineapple, mango, oranges. Taste is much softer, a bit of citrus, a bit of bready malt, mild bitterness. Decent IPA, could use a bit fuller body.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
DATE TASTED: January 10, 2015... GLASSWARE: Barley Creek pint... OCCASION: playoff football--lose, Ravens!... APPEARANCE: mildly hazy orange amber body that holds steady effervescence; promising, pillowy, creamy white head that looks like sea foam; beautiful, stratifying lacing ... AROMA: light oats suggest the much-understated hops; tough to distinguish either the citrus or pine here... PALATE: rather creamy, soft and mild-mannered; plays slightly on the teeth, but also hides some cough syrup tendencies in it ...TASTE: hop are crunchy pine but easily sessionable; mango and pear are present too, but as IPAs go, apologetic in its exit--not substantial, though that may be the target of Kona, as they have a half-dozen IPAs in their portfolio, it seems... OVERALL: first, thanks to Dave for the New Year’s Day beer visit...points are scored for the Hawaiian island chain impressed upon the bottle, too; the beer is solid, not spectacular, and sessionable too...
