A full-bodied, American-Style I.P.A. that is bronze in color, Castaway IPA is "dry hopped" (aged with liberal amounts of whole hop flowers after fermentation) for assertive hop flavor and aroma. The bitterness is balanced by the malty body of the beer.

Fluffy, clinging off-white head over well-carbonated, yellow-golden beer. Fresh citrussy hops dominating the nose. Further hay, mowed grass. Bit skunky, rather bitter and piney hops. Grapefruit peel. Not very well-bodied, well-carbonated. Bit oily-slick. Actually, quite nice IMO. What an unusual find - in a small town Albert Heijn supermarket...

A very mild and good tasting beer. Refreshing bite but no after taste. A compliment to any food. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12fl oz bottle at home from local supermarket, Maarssen. Nose is malty, fruity. Body is clear golden yellow, head is medium, white, frothy, average lasting, good lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, tropical fruits, spices, leaves, malt. Medium sweet, medium bitter, light citric sour. Finish is long lasting hoppy medium bitter. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Easy, refreshing summer beer, simple but tasty, nice one.

Solid IPA, citrus aroma and upfront flavor. Castaway IPA is the stand out of the variety case I picked up @ Bell Beverage.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden beer with a small white head on top. Aroma has hints of grapefruits, fresh hay, some faint hints of sweeter caramel. Flavor is mildly bitter, citrussy with nice, sweeter hint of malts in the finish. Softly carbonated, medium long, light bitter aftertaste. Quite ok, but nothing too special going on here.
