COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full-bodied, American-Style I.P.A. that is bronze in color, Castaway IPA is "dry hopped" (aged with liberal amounts of whole hop flowers after fermentation) for assertive hop flavor and aroma. The bitterness is balanced by the malty body of the beer.

Aroma is of floral hops, citrus, tropical fruits (guava and mango), pine, biscuit malts, and some sweet malts. Taste is floral hops, citrus, tropical fruits (guava and kumquats), pine, biscuit malts, and some light caramel sweet malts. Has a medium-light body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi bitter, semi dry, medium finish. Overall, a decently tasty, easy drinking, pretty refreshing IPA.

Poured from a bottle. Clear pale gold, foamy white head and good lacing. Dry hopped, so nice floral aroma. Also, nice tropical fruit and some pine and biscuity malt. Hops are tropical fruit on the tongue and are pretty mellow, not bitey at all. Plenty of malt to back it up, maybe a bit more than I prefer. Medium body and soft carb. Goes down really smooth. Decent IPA.

Bottle courtesy of Kona Brewing. Pours a slightly hazy yellow-orange with a white head. Nose is a nice burst of tropical fruit, guava, and citrus with some light malt behind it. Flavor is similar with a burst of tropical fruit, guava, kumquats, and citrus in the flavor package as well. Finishes with some tropical fruit-- medium to light in body and a nice IPA overall.

Very floral hop aroma that has a strong bite on the palate as well. Light orange in appearance with a mild malty undertone. Overall a decent and well representative IPA.

Amazing aroma of citrus, apricot and hops. Clear amber colour not much head. Taste is disappointing after such a great aroma. Taste is indistinctive with a dry feel and a bitter finish.
