COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full-bodied, American-Style I.P.A. that is bronze in color, Castaway IPA is "dry hopped" (aged with liberal amounts of whole hop flowers after fermentation) for assertive hop flavor and aroma. The bitterness is balanced by the malty body of the beer.

Bottle. Overall this seems like a really old beer. No significant off element, but lacking hops to be a propper IPA. Caramel and resiny aroma. About the same taste. Good after all.

Bottle - Bronze/golden color with a nice thick white head. A good amount of bubbles from the Dogfish Head IPA glass which is nice. Hoppy orange and grapefruit on the nose. Not a lot of bitterness and just a hint of sweetness to balance the hops. The grapefruit smell carries over to the taste with a mild flavor addition.

355ml bottle. Barely clear, golden colour with average, fluffy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Piney, citrusy, and minimally floral hoppy aroma, a herbal touch of bath salt and mint. Taste is biscuity malty, floral, piney hoppy overtones, a citrus touch. Meh.

Bottled. Goldeny orange colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some mild bready and caramelly notes as well as some herbs and mild spicy elements. Flavour is fruity and floral with some sweet malts coming in as well. A rather balanced brew, which makes it a good session beer, though a bit high on the abv.

Average at best. Malty sweet aroma with some bitterness. The taste starts with the malt and has citrus and a bit of fruit. The finish is dry. A little thin. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
