A full-bodied, American-Style I.P.A. that is bronze in color, Castaway IPA is "dry hopped" (aged with liberal amounts of whole hop flowers after fermentation) for assertive hop flavor and aroma. The bitterness is balanced by the malty body of the beer.

I tell you what, I almost didn’t purchase this because it was rated an 88 on here. Good thing I bought it! I knew from the moment I opened it and my nose was greeted by grapefruit and citrus I’d enjoy it. It’s a great IPA. Pours a honey gold color, a finger of white tiny bubbly head. As I drink it, it has great lacing. The nose is lots of grapefruit, lemon, orange, some sweet bready malts, and pine needle. It’s well balanced, not a whole lot of bitterness on the toungue, and the sweetness of the malts really comes through here. The description says full-bodied, but I’d say it’s medium bodied. High drinkability. A well crafted IPA. As far as a standard IPA goes, this makes my top 10 for sure.

Color is a clear light yellow; head is an off-white and sparse. Aroma is all hops; very much spruce. Body is medium; carbonation average; bitter finish. Finish is long and all hops - pretty bitter. Overall a reasonable IPA, though fairly one dimensional with dominating spruce hops.

330 ml bottle shared by MisoW. Thanks!
Dark golden, hazy body, with a small, white head.
Aroma of grapefruit, pine, grass, some peach, some dark fruits.
Taste follows this, with some more caramel.
Medium mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes bitter, dry, zesty, grassy.

Good, but nothing special. An average IPA, with the expectable aromas, presented in a well balance and good drinkability. There are much better IPAs though.
