A full-bodied, American-Style I.P.A. that is bronze in color, Castaway IPA is "dry hopped" (aged with liberal amounts of whole hop flowers after fermentation) for assertive hop flavor and aroma. The bitterness is balanced by the malty body of the beer.

Bottle courtesy of Kona Brewing. Pours a slightly hazy yellow-orange with a white head. Nose is a nice burst of tropical fruit, guava, and citrus with some light malt behind it. Flavor is similar with a burst of tropical fruit, guava, kumquats, and citrus in the flavor package as well. Finishes with some tropical fruit-- medium to light in body and a nice IPA overall.

0.355l bottle. Clear golden body, thin white head. The aroma had a bready malt base with a nice piny and grassy hop character. Taste is similar to the aroma. Bready malts, pine, grass and some stone fruits. The the finish is dry and hoppy. It’s a bit too watery for me, but it’s still an OK beer.

Man, I’ve been so IPA’d out lately, seems every new beer is an IPA, WTF? This bottle is slightly odd shaped. Like a Hinter but smaller. Pour is somewhat cloudy IPA. Lots of bubbling action baby on the eye. On the tongue its a rather medium strong IPA. Now I look at the label, it says New Hampshire, Oregon and Washington, how misleading is that? WTF PMO. Up top here it says Hawaii? No way. What’s beer selling up to these days? Not impressed. Typical IPA and I don’t care for them. Good co2 bite anyway.
