COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full-bodied, American-Style I.P.A. that is bronze in color, Castaway IPA is "dry hopped" (aged with liberal amounts of whole hop flowers after fermentation) for assertive hop flavor and aroma. The bitterness is balanced by the malty body of the beer.

Bottle courtesy of Kona Brewing. Pours a slightly hazy yellow-orange with a white head. Nose is a nice burst of tropical fruit, guava, and citrus with some light malt behind it. Flavor is similar with a burst of tropical fruit, guava, kumquats, and citrus in the flavor package as well. Finishes with some tropical fruit-- medium to light in body and a nice IPA overall.

Bottle from Beermerchants. Pours golden, single finger white head, fair bit of sediment too. Aroma of orange, lemon, pine, peach, nectarine. Taste of initial malts, then orange, lemon, pine, peach, grapefruit, nectarine...tastes like fruitella! Lovely brew!

Straightforward, hop centered, pine driven IPA. Moderately dry front and reasonable finish, neitherly overly bitter nor clumsily murky. The best thing about this one was that it paired very well with a spicy Andouille sausage I had at a backyard BBQ. Bottle.

Bottle from Sonoma Cellars. Pours a yellowish copper with a white head leaving coats of lace on the side of the glass. Aroma of citrus hops and pine. Taste is sweet light malts, light citrus and some spicy pine. Light to medium bodied. Finishes a touch more bitter than sweet, but well blended. This is lightly nice. 13.9

Poured from 12 oz. bottle.  Kona Castaway IPA Not quite clear, golden yellow with a 2-finger near-white head and very good lacing.  Aroma of limey citrus, mango, caramel, light fruit and bread.  Taste of lime, honeydew melon, mango, citrus, caramel and bread.  Full/medium body and low/medium carbonization.  A decent, fruity IPA that's on the sweet side but has amble bitterness, too.  ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear golden, airy white froth. Peachy, piney aroma. Flavour has medium piney bitterness. Juicy mouthfeel with dry and bitter finish. Not bad.

Bottle local Smith’s. Nice, lighter body, lighter abv IPA; a virtual Pilsner with balls. Not real complex or interesting in any way, but very good nonetheless. I could definitely imagine sipping this on a beach or under a cabana somewhere.
