COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fire Rock Pale Ale is a crisp, refreshing “Hawaiian-style” pale ale. Its signature copper color results from the unique blend of specialty roasted malts. The pronounced citrus-floral hop aroma comes from the liberal amounts of Galena, Cascade & Mt. Hood hops added to each brew.

Color is deep copper. Yields a shallow slikened froth. Aroma is malty with a hint of fresh biscuits. Medium to full nectar weight. Just rolls of the tongue. Good caramel and fruit flavors with a slight hoppy character. No citrus at all. Very mellow. Well ballanced. Highly recommended.

Deleted my rating - again! Pours an orange copper with small white head. Aroma of floral and grapefruit hops, some caramel malts, and some metallic notes. Tastes of floral hops, followed by some caramel malts, then a little malt sweetness, and ends with a very slight bitterness. Slightly above mediocre. I remember hearing or reading something great about this beer at some point, and am a little disappointed. Being in Florida I thought this was a great find, but I guess not.

Tap at Gameworks LV, NV. Poured with a thin white head and really nice, bold copper color. Aroma was of citrusy hops and the flavor was very similar and straightforward. Mouthfeel made it very refreshing. This could easily be your everyday brew for hanging out on the deck.

Bottle at Stuffed Sandwich, LA. Amber with moderate foam. Nice, but moderate citrus hop aroma and some caramel. Good bitter flavours with some caramel sweetness. Medium body and carbonation. A very refreshing and well-balanced pale ale from Hawaii.

On tap @ the "Sarasota Rhythm & Brews Festival." Pours a dark copper color with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is a hoppy floral with hints of citrus. Initial flavor is sweet and malty with a hoppy bitter finish. I had one pint and I liked it well enough to have another.

Bottle: Clear copper color with a fizzy, cream colored head. Lots of bubbles rising to the top that maintain the small, lasting head. The aromas were pretty mild for a pale ale - floral hops with a metallic hint. The taste is lacking sorely - mainly tasted like fermented cardboard. It did have a biiter taste, but not the good kind of bitter that is usually enjoyed in a pale ale. The feel was one its better qualities -- not too thin. My opinion: the Hawaiians should leave brewing to the main continent and stick to making Mai Tai’s.

A stock APA. Very orange, big head, OK label. Like the lizard. The thing that was most remarkable about this beer was the palate and mouthfeel, which was extremely good. Solid, not overbittered, overbrewed or overhopped. Nice light pine and moderately sweet caramel in the aroma and flavor. Medium acidity. This is a good clue as to why APA became a prominent style -- it’s going back to the roots. Lots of APA’s are formulaic, grotesquely evolved versions of this basic brew. Sturdy, drinkable and solid.

Draught. Clear copper-orange color with off white head that laced the glass. Flowery hop nose and flavor with a touch of malty sweetness and bitter hop finish.

Draft at Royal Pacific in Orlando. Pours a deep amber color with a medium frothy white head that lasted. Moderate hoppy citrus aroma. Medium body. Same good hoppy citrus flavor with a medium bitter finish. Good drinkable pale ale.
