3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
actually pretty good. Pours an amber color with a decent sized creamy off white head. Nose is hops, toasted malt, and sugar. Taste is really sweet and feels like honey in the mouth with a great caramel malt backbone and just the right about of bitter finish. I like it.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer was pretty good. It pours a coppery color (reminscent of an IPA) and was a nice piney/ citrusy aroma. It was a bit thicker in the mouthfeel than a normal pale and very malty with a bit of an unbalanced hop finish. Respectable; would get again.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from bottle a copper with medium sized white head. Aroma of floral, citrusy hops. Flavor has a big floral hop burst at the get go with a good full malt mouthfeel and a bit of a bisquity, hay ending. Overall a good beer that I’d drink again and went well with fish.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
For an American Pale, this was a little different. The aroma and appearance were typical for a pale ale, but the mouthfeel and flavor were a little bit atypical. The Fire Rock seemed a little heavier than most plae ales. There was a normal spicy hop presence and a higher than normal taste of the caramel malts.

12 oz. bottle, from Keils Grocery in San Diego. Pours clear orangey-amber with a smallish white head that leaves spots of lace. Aroma of grainy malts, a bit of caramel and toast, grass and floral hops. Nice pale ale flavor, biscuity, with a hint of fruit, sweetish herbs, more florals and some alfalfa. Medium body and gentle carbonation.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Had this at an Oakland Athletics game. Copper color, Sweet aroma, kind of bitter slightly fruity taste. Got gross as it warmed. I’m not saying this is a beer that sucks, but it’s almost a beer that sucks,
