Fire Rock Pale Ale is a crisp, refreshing “Hawaiian-style” pale ale. Its signature copper color results from the unique blend of specialty roasted malts. The pronounced citrus-floral hop aroma comes from the liberal amounts of Galena, Cascade & Mt. Hood hops added to each brew.

From a bottle at local Smith’s. Pours a smoky amber with quickly dissipating white head and minimal carbonation. Smoky caramel and bread taste malt, could easily pass for a Marzen. Minimal hops bitterness. Light body, 6.0% abv, yet full flavor makes this one a nice alternative to the regular fare. Very nice!

I will start by saying I am biased to pale ales. This specific pale ale is amber/auburn colored and it pours out completely smooth with minimal carbonation. It has that nice crisp hop based flavor that most good pale ales have but not that overly bitter flavor that double IPAs tend to have. Great local Hawaiian beer offering! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 0.355L. Clear amber body with average, frothy, off-white head, mostly lasting with some nice lacing; high density of tiny particles. Moderate hoppy (orange) aroma with notes of spices and fruits. Moderate sweet flavour with light bitterness. Light-to-medium body with watery texture; average carbonation.

Big white head. Clear amber body with carbonation. Raisiny strawy caramelly aroma with resiny notes. Sweetish raisiny spicy taste with earthy cocos notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish spicy cocos aftertaste with earthy salty notes. Niceish, but a bit stale. Not much sign of the hops. (0.355l bottle, from Vinbudin Kringlan.)

Meh. Amber pour. Malty with just a hint of hop character. This is better than PBR but its pretty mild.

Clear copper with off-white head that quickly dissapears leaving a nice lacing that looks like an old language line by line. Aroma of caramell and pine. The taste is chrispy with bread, pepper and caramell sweetnes. A refreshing beer with an appealing taste.

12oz brown bottle. Golden colour, hazy. Holds a nice creamy whitish cap, nice lacing. Nose has fruity notes, citrus and caramel. Taste caramel malt and light honey sweetness, fruity and floral, some citrus peel hops with light bitterness. Medium bodied. Pretty good APA.
