COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fire Rock Pale Ale is a crisp, refreshing “Hawaiian-style” pale ale. Its signature copper color results from the unique blend of specialty roasted malts. The pronounced citrus-floral hop aroma comes from the liberal amounts of Galena, Cascade & Mt. Hood hops added to each brew.

Bottiglia 33 cl. Giallo dorato con schiuma bianca. Profumo floreale e di malto. Corpo leggero, molto beverina, bassa carbonazione. Finale amaro che però si mischia ad uno sgradevole sapore metallico che mi si attacca al palato. Forse bottiglia maltrattata?

Poured from 12 ounce bottle. Medium gold/amber hue, predominantly sweet fruity nose with some hops, initial sweet tropical fruit taste gives way to bitter finish with some astringency and an artificial note. All right, and the fruit taste is intriguing, but the overall balance needs to be improved. Tasted on February 13, 2016 at Goebel’s Pub and Kitchen, formerly the west side location of the Holy Grail. The food menu is significantly improved but the beer selection is only marginally better.

Nice colour but muted hops on the nose and on the palate. Guessing not a fresh bottle.

Pours dark gold with a thin, fizzy head. Aroma is very floral, not overly strong, but with very noticeable hints of flowers and freshly cut melon. Taste is upfront dry and rather bitter, mellows slightly on the swill, and concludes with a long but soft pineapple finish that is all in all still dominated by the underlying bitterness. Pleasant enough, and not overly hopped beyond repair, but missing a certain complexity of flavor that could bring this one further. Good.

Bottle from Safeway in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is malty, floral hops, some breadiness. More like an amber ale to me or even an English Pale. A little wet and soggy and bitter. Wished this was more bright and tropical. A bit of an identity crisis on this one.

Thought I'd give this Brewer another shot, but I think I'm done. Looked promising as I poured it. My initial reaction was, "This isn't as bad as the revie—hold up. Nope. This is gym sock lake swill." ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, 0.355l. Clear amber color with thin soapy off-white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of citrus, pine, grass and mild caramel. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel and resin, following is refreshing fruity, mouth feel is crisp, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Good one, tastes like IPA...
