Fire Rock Pale Ale is a crisp, refreshing “Hawaiian-style” pale ale. Its signature copper color results from the unique blend of specialty roasted malts. The pronounced citrus-floral hop aroma comes from the liberal amounts of Galena, Cascade & Mt. Hood hops added to each brew.

Part of a six pack I received for my birthday. I was more excited that it was from Hawaii than the way it tasted. Taste is grass, with caramel and coffee notes.

Bottle, 355 ml at The Lexington, London. Pours copperish with small off-white head. Caramel malty, fruity notes, some hops, bitterness in the end. The bottle wasn’t the freshest one.

appearance: clear copper, short off-white creamy head, decent lacing. aroma: general citrus and caramel, in balance. taste: slightly bitter grapefruit, mango, and light pine, over a good malty caramel sweetness. finish: clean and dry, slightly bitter. notes: Good pale ale. Doesn’t set the world on fire, but it’s one or two short notches below the highest classic standards in the style. Draught at Ohana, Polynesian Resort, Disney 2016.

Tap@Beach Bums, Kihei. Pours rusty copper red with a minimal white head. Aroma includes tropical fruits, hops and maltiness. Tastewise the tropical fruits subside and give way to hops and bready maltiness. Appearance and palate are average. Slight carbonation and smooth hoppiness. Decent pale ale.
