COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fire Rock Pale Ale is a crisp, refreshing “Hawaiian-style” pale ale. Its signature copper color results from the unique blend of specialty roasted malts. The pronounced citrus-floral hop aroma comes from the liberal amounts of Galena, Cascade & Mt. Hood hops added to each brew.

Bottled. Surprisingly citric and sweet. Nice dry finish. Slight alcohol bitterness that interfered with the hops at the end knocks this down just a tad. Not bad though from the local grocer and better than the other Fire Rock brews I’ve tried.

Bright orange pour with thin white head. Aroma is peach and flowers. Taste much better than Ratebeer ratings: peach, dried fruit, citrus, and hops. Dry but not too bitter finish. Lovely

Bottle at home. Low fluffy and quickly disappearing white head. Clear amber golden body. Mild and weak floral aroma. Mild and yet dry flavor on a solid malt base, moderately hopped, high carbonation. short finish. Ok but a bit anonymous.

Bottle, 35,5cl. Pours clear light amber/copper with an airy off-white head. Pine, herbs, caramel malty aroma with clear, balanced hops along. Sweet, thick caramel malts in the flavour at first. Then comes the earthy, piney hops, bread, citrus and weak sensation of spices. Short, medium perhaps, hoppy aftertaste. Medium body and carbonation. Very delightful to drink with nothing being too dominant. A good beginner/introduction IPA I’d say.

Cappello di schiuma molto fine ma abbastanza persistente, colore dorato. Al naso un lieve odore di frutta esotica. In bocca la bevuta è abbastanza facile, un lieve ma persistente amaro fino alla fine.

Pours dark orange with a medium head. Aroma: peach and ice tea, some pine tree and white fruit, some malty sweetness in the aroma. Taste: pretty malty in the first place, some nice bitterness comes out after a number of sips, medium carbonation. Nice aroma, just ok taste - a bit too malty and too few hopps used for the bitterness.

Moderately hopped, moderately sweet. Decent, widely-available pale ale, if nothing remarkable.

Pours Amber with frothy tan head. Aroma is piney citrus with smooth but pungent esters. Flavor is not overly bitter and has a good caramel biscuit malt body. Well rounded IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Rated based on notes taken 12 July 2012 -- It’s an okay beer that I think has declined in quality over the past couple of years. Or maybe my taste buds just like better beer now.
