Fire Rock Pale Ale is a crisp, refreshing “Hawaiian-style” pale ale. Its signature copper color results from the unique blend of specialty roasted malts. The pronounced citrus-floral hop aroma comes from the liberal amounts of Galena, Cascade & Mt. Hood hops added to each brew.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2013 The malts come out in this beer, with a floral hop aroma. I enjoyed this more the second time around.

355ml bottle at home, from Appellation Wines, Dalry Road, Edinburgh (6% abv on the label) - sweet malty aroma with some citrus hop, clear amber brown with many streams of small bubbles, large off-white head, irregular lacing, bready, caramel with some sweet citrus in the flavour, high carbonation, oily, sweet malty finish

This pours a semi-clear color with a slight off-white head. The aroma is slightly malty. The taste is bold with malts yet has quite a bite to it. Fairly easy drinking with a smooth flavor and a toasted finish. Quite nice overall.

330 ml bottle - Bitter quite horrible palate, suggesting compared to other reviews that this particular bottle had gone off. Check of sale by date confirms (by two months! Purchased two weeks ago)

Aroma is sweet. Taste is very sweet malts without enough hop balance. Overall a bit disappointing.

Bottle 0,355L - birthday gift from Gregor. Foggy, copper colour with small, off-white head, that sits down fast. Light hoppy aroma and a touch of tropical fruits. Taste starts light sweet and fuity (orange), while finish is bitter and crispy. Light to medium body, creamy texture and soft carbonation. Good taste, but I’m missing more hops. Otherwise, nise summer ale.

Light amber, clear. Light to medium body, moderate to full flavor, good carbonation, little alcohol heat, avg length. Dry, bitter, low acidity. Malty, grapefruit peel and pith. Interesting, enjoyable, needs a bit more body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Citrus-Geruch mit Lavendel und Blumen. Gute Restsüße. Sehr mundvoll, ausgewogen bitter im Abgang.

Sehr angenehmer Geruch: frisch, weiße Trauben, Gras, etwas Malz. Geschmack erstaunlich bitter nach dem süßen Geruch. Lecker, allerdings nicht so viel Geschmack wie das Aroma verspricht.

Bottle at home from Whole Foods Piccadilly. Bottle 28/10/14. 6.0% Bright orange / light amber coloured pour with a reluctantwhite head that fades to a whisp. Aroma is light caramel, mineral, some veggy hop matter, candied orange and light grass. Flavour is composed of biscuity, light caramel malts, little staling, subdued orange rind, hop matter, berry and a little grassy hop. Palate is medium bodies, moderate carbonation, nice dry finish. Little mineral on the tongue.
