Poured a dark amber with a minimal head. Served far, far too cold by the horrible establishment I drank it in. Even so, aroma was still demonstrably bitter and slightly sweet without being very fruity or citrus-y. Taste was definitely bitter, but not in a really fun or unique way. Mouthfeel was fine. I thought that this was OK and far better than the alternatives presented to me. In the same circumstances (limited selection) I’d no doubt have it again, but with a wider selection, no way. I had this at "Cheeseburger - Las Vegas," which is definitely not Cheeseburger paradise. Beer list was all Anheuser-Busch distributed beers, which includes the Kona beers. Beer was OK, service was OK, food was lousy and overpriced, with some severely unpleasant and detrimental effects later.

Bottle @ DØE Meeting. Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma of sweet bready malt, sweet fruity hops, peach, pineapple. Taste is malt, sweet fruit, peach and pineapples, light citrus, but the hops seems a little faded / old here. Medium body, average carbonation. 160512

I get no smell off this, but the taste is quite good. Nice little level of hoppiness to it, though it has no head. Great easy-to-drink brew.

Pours with a clean amber color, off-white head. The minor lack of aroma is made up in the palate and taste. A rich malt start is is finished by the sharp resiny finish. A well balanced pale ale, that leads to a craving to have more.

355ml bottle. Pale gold, white head. Fruity aromas, malt, caramel, spruce, hops, not too expressive. Off-dry, medium bodied, medium bitterness, balanced CO2. Fruity, quite malty taste, hops, spruce, grapefruit peel, apricots, a hint of grain. (2012-05-13)

Bottle @ DØE Syd. Clear golden/amber with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, hops and a little citrus. Flavour is malt, fruit, hops, little citrus, little caramel, little pine and a little bitter.

(Bottle) Good copper color with minimal head and aroma. However, a mildy sweet and easy drinking beer, well styled beer for warm weather. Hard to only have one.

Amber orange with off white head. Decent lacing. Lemon, caramel, and mild floral. Caramel, mild roast and lemon flavors. Decent balance with lite bitterness and roast bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are sugar, caramel, rich malt, flowers and hops.

Bottle. Pours copper with an aggressive head, decent lacing, uneven bubbles. Aroma is all citrus / grapefruit. Taste is lightly hoppy with some sweetness. There is a little dark malt taste to this one that makes it a little different. Kona Brewing doesn’t make typical brews on the reg. Solid.

Pours a clear amber-red with a small white head. Smells of bread, citrus, flowers. Taste is moderately bitter, good hop presence but not overwhelming. Hint of grapefruit in the finish.
