Fire Rock Pale Ale is a crisp, refreshing “Hawaiian-style” pale ale. Its signature copper color results from the unique blend of specialty roasted malts. The pronounced citrus-floral hop aroma comes from the liberal amounts of Galena, Cascade & Mt. Hood hops added to each brew.

Was not a fan of the fire rock. The hops were just too overwhelming and seemed to dominate the beer. Not much taste outside of that.

Bottle from maruhn. Pours clear orange with soft white head. Smells are bitterness with hints of citrus. Taste starts bitter, with the palate also being mostly bitter taste, hints of apricot and banana in the palate. Finish is bread sweet. Not that great.

Golden with medium to small white head. Malty aroma with honey notes. Medium to strong bitterness with good malty sweetness and some sourness. Probably bit too sweet /malty. Bitter and sweet malty aftertaste.

Bottle, from the bottle at Trineesh’s wedding beach barbeque. This probably suffered from being over cold from the ice bucket it was swimming in but improved to be pleasant enough as it warmed, some sweetish malt and a muted floral hop finish. A bit dull though - and as with so many American Pales I don’t really get the point of this being 5.8%, the easy drinking flavour profile is out of whack with such a strong beer.

Bottle from the Architect, Cambridge. Dark gold with a touch of amber. Small white head. Light metallic smell. Some melon and a touch of resin. Tastes sweet with a slight bitter hint. A bit gluey in the aftertaste. Nicely carbonated body but that doesn’t save the beer from being pretty mediocre.

Decent looking rocky head... lite amber with alot of bubbles. Lacing is sporadic but still nice. Nose is citrus and earthy hops balanced by a good amount of caramel malts.. sorta smells sugary. Flavor is bigger than expected.. toasted and caramel malts.. more grassy hops
