COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fire Rock Pale Ale is a crisp, refreshing “Hawaiian-style” pale ale. Its signature copper color results from the unique blend of specialty roasted malts. The pronounced citrus-floral hop aroma comes from the liberal amounts of Galena, Cascade & Mt. Hood hops added to each brew.

Was not a fan of the fire rock. The hops were just too overwhelming and seemed to dominate the beer. Not much taste outside of that.

Appearance: Lovely clear deep orange golden color with a fine white head. Good lacing.
Aroma: Citric hoppy, malty and fruity.
Palate: Medium body. Tad sweet and a fine bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Mild citric hoppy, mild grassy, fruity and a bit to much butterscotch.
Overall impression: Not to found of to much butterscotch. Otherwise this would have been a nice ale.
Personal stats: Bottle at Førtito Bar & Bowling in Sarpsborg, Norway

Bottle from Tamesis Dock. Short review at work do. Clear dark orange, sparkling, small white head. Aroma is light orange, musty. Body is medium to light, spritzy, slightly foamy. Taste is grassy lemon, musty, tangy tonic water, lager-like at times. Decent overall.

I had two of these at the weekend. A very easy drinking Pale Ale but in the best possible way. The taste is amlty caramel sweet but the citrus and floral hops came through and balanced it off nicely. Very clean feeling beer and it went down a treat. I will definitely buy again.

The body has a deep amber color with good clarity and a small bright white head on top. The head fades down to just a small ring of foam which makes for some slick lacing on the glass. Its aroma malty and sweet with just the slightest hint of hops. The flavor malty and sweet with caramel and sugary notes. The hops add some mild citrus notes and light bitterness for some balance. The finish is still a little bit on the sweet side with just a mild touch of hop bitterness. Its palate is smooth and medium bodied with mellow carbonation.

Nice crisp and refreshing pale ale. Good balance of hops and malt for a beer that can be enjoyed in warm weather ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Bull run tap house. Pours brown with a khaki head. Leaves trace lacing. Slight floral hop note on nose. Kind of sweet and malty on the tongue. There’s not a lot of hop influence. Finishes clean. Kind of boring.

Transfer from BA review of 4-13-2012 Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – Pours a deep golden color with a medium white head. Tons of little carbonations bubbles can be seen running up through the beer. The head faded leaving a medium amount of lacing. Smell – The aroma is very roasty with nice hints of citrus hop mixed in. There is a nice sweetness from the citrus hop as well as some sweeter aromas of caramel. Taste- A bready flavor with a roasted malt flavor are the first to meet the tongue. Some sweetness is present in the beginning with flavors of caramel and lighter citrus fruit flavors. Toward the very end, the taste bitters ever so slightly due to some citrus hop flavors. While it bitters, it is by no means a bitter beer, and maintains a nice sweeter hoppy flavor in the mouth at the end. Mouthfeel – The body is quite nice and creamy with a carbonation level that is a bit on the lighter side.. The body and carbonation really accentuates the sweet and lighter hoppy flavors and allows them to sit on the tongue. It is quite good for accentuating the taste. Overall – This is a nice drinking beer. It has a good smoothness with many nice characteristics.
