COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fire Rock Pale Ale is a crisp, refreshing “Hawaiian-style” pale ale. Its signature copper color results from the unique blend of specialty roasted malts. The pronounced citrus-floral hop aroma comes from the liberal amounts of Galena, Cascade & Mt. Hood hops added to each brew.

So happy to see this, because it knocks off both of the non-continental states. This beer was brought back to me from my friend Rick, after his trip to DC. The aroma has a hint of resiny hops and a little floral esters. The beer is a hazy orangish-copper with a thin white head. The flavor is a decent balance of hop and malt, not too piney and not too much caramel. This is a good representative from the US Pale Ale category. It’s rather smooth, body is more on the light side, with a thinner texture, a decent fizzy carbonation, and semi-long finish. Cool beer to have arrive at my door, fun to drink outside by the fire pit with the dogs and a guitar.

355 ml bottle. Sunrise orange, pretty clear, with a small, creamy, non persistent off white head. On the nose soapy and citrusy hops, slightly toasted malts, caramel, just a hint of orange peel. Moderately bitter, fruity, slightly warming, a bit too much for the actual ABV. Slightly watery, Average carbonation, light to medium body, creamy texture. Easily forgettable.

0,5 pullo@ One Pint Pub. Meripihkan ruskea, ei aivan kirkas. Tuoksussa hedelmäisyyttä, persikkaa, humalaa, hiukan mallasta. Maussa mallasta, humalaa. Joku maku, jota en osaa nimetä. Muistuttaa alkoholia, mutta ei noin vähillä volteilla alkoholi maistu.

Bland aroma. Pale, small tight head. sticky lacing. Yeugh! Slick sweet palate. Sweet malts. Watery after the sugars have subsided. What a load of rubbish! The blancmange of pale ales. Almost lager in its naffness.

(Bottle, 0.355 l - bottled on May 19 14, at Black Door, 20140815) The beer poured amber and almost clear. Its head was fruitiness, malts and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, malts, sweetness, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy, sweet and bitter. A bit musty but still rather tasty pale ale.

pours unclear very light golden with a small white cap showing minimal retention and lacing. lightly toasted and caramel malt bill, herbal-grassiness, fairly spicy too, muted citrus, some flowery notes, touch of minerals. moderately low carbonation, light body, balanced grassy-spicy-citrusy-herbal short finish. o-k.
