Is there anything more iconic of the lush tropics than the coconut? The delicious heart of this island treasure has a nutty, toffee flavor and aroma that sends you straight to the beaches of Paradise. Kick back with a Koko Brown, brewed with real toasted coconut, and savor the mahogany color and smooth, roasty malt taste. Available Winter/Spring Koko Brown pairs well with coconut and caramel flavors, such as Thai curries, BBQ meats and carne asada. Its refreshing nutty aroma makes for the perfect beer after a day on the water.

Bottled 02/2016. Pours black, tan/white head. Aroma is fairly intense coconut, roasted malt, nutty aroma. The coconut with the roasted malt actually works perfectly. This is a great balance. Iím impressed. I feel like Kona may not be the best brewery, but I like them. Aroma is exactly toasted coconut flakes and vanilla. Excellent. Flavor lets down a bit, but maybe it needs to warm. Lots of coconut flakes, really nice ones. Tastes like those FrozFruit coconut ice cream bars. Itís a little too effervescent for me. It doesnít need to be thicker or more full, just lighter carbonation. Feel like this on cask would be excellent.

Bottle. Brown with small head. Light cocoa and caramel with a hint of nuttiness. Coconut is present, but fairly understated. Not bad, but not great either.

Rated on 5-06-2016 at Don Hallís Factory, Fort Wayne, IN. (Bottle) The appearance is a cream head with a short retention, semi-transparent cherry body, no carbonation observed, and a good amount of lacing adorns the glass. The aroma is nutty, malt and coconut. The flavor mimics the aroma. The mouthfeel is smooth and this beer is a light-medium beer. This beer is very drinkable and would make for a nice session beer. It has a very good taste, worth trying and definitely a beer that I would partake in again.

This bottled brew from a restaurant poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized tan colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a uncarbonated semi-transparent light ruby red brown colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was brown malt. The semi-thick crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a mild mild roasted malt aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of roasted malt brown malt and crisp. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Bottle. Pours clear cola brown. Aroma is toasted coconut, caramel, and vanilla with some light toasted malt notes and nuttiness. Flavor is woody and nutty with some caramel notes, light earthy bitterness, and some light coconut notes as the finish dries out. Medium body.

Great brown! Slightly light brown in color, yellow edges, minimal head. Like a sweeter, slightly creamier Newcastle. Toasty coconut and notes of miscellaneous tropical fruit were evident.

A light brown ale with a slightly sweet, toasted coconut taste and nutty scent.

Kicking off a bachelor party weekend with something a little exotic! This toasted coconut-infused brown ale was a deliciously non-conventional brew, struck a perfect balance of flavorful but not overwhelming coconut flavor with a more traditional toasted caramel malt base. Aroma is toasted malt with just a slight hint of the coconut notes, along with some English-style chocolate malt and earthiness. Taste is smooth coconut-accented maltiness- the coconut takes the place of the nutty note that is more standard for the style. Finishes slightly earthy but refreshing, an excellent beer to change things up occasionally.
