Well the toasted coconut worked well in the nose here, mixing with light chocolate and nutty malt components, but it was really not to my liking as a flavoring. It just didn’t seem right in a beer, clashing with those same malt flavors. Fair palate, balanced on the whole.

On draft at the Brass Tap, poured a light brown color, with aromas of coconut, caramel, vanilla, and some sugar. Flavor is much like the aroma, with some breadiness and light bitter aftertaste.

Draft at Momo’s Pizza. Pours a clear dark amber with a thin white head that fades fast. Nose is roasted malts, light espresso, vanilla and coconut shavings. Sweet vanilla and roasty entry followed by a light nuttiness. Finishes with coconut and some bitterness. Pretty nice.

12oz bottle, from a 6-pack picked up from the publix while I was in Siesta Key this past week. This was a great brown ale! A decent pour yielded a nice big foamy slightly off-white head that would always persist and leave plenty of lace. Clear caramel color. Light carbonation, substantial coconut aftertaste. Good sweet taste, delicious coconut nutty aroma. Very interesting and tasty.

In tap at Tremont Tavern. Pours lightly hazed brown with small off-white to tab head. Aromas of coconut, chocolate, bit of vanilla, and some lightly roasted malts. Flavors of chocolate, sweet coconut, light vanilla, and nice caramel malt finish. Body and carbonatin appropriate for style. Nice sweet brown, which is the way I prefer them. Nice surprise.

Light bodied Brown Ale. Kona hits the chocolate coconut flavor right on, with bitterness and roast to balance out the beer. Definitely a unique Brown Ale.

On tap with a lighter iced tea color. Thin head. Nice and mild on the taste buds from the start. Mild slaggy choco thing is going on. Easy and fresh is the impression. Not bad! Better than expected fer some reaon. Decent overall co2 presence. Some vanilla comes thru on the finish.

If you love toasted coconut then you MUST try this! Looked sexy golden brown poured from a bottle. Small white head with great lacing. The smell was delicious malty roasted toasty coconut. The taste was the same. This is a wonderful anytime beer if you like coconut. It has the deep malty flavor if a brown ale but is tropical and refreshing. Will definitely have this often.

Pours a clear brown-orange with a large dense off-white head. Aroma of coconut and caramel. Flavor of coconut, nuts, chocolate, and light bitterness at finish. I hate coconut but this isn’t bad.
