Like this brown ale from kona. Kind of sweet a little chocolately. Super crushable and smells like chocolate. Pours almost black in color. Had at home.

Dark brown color. Malty with a hint of coconut. Very mild finish with a very slight touch of hops. Tried this at the Federal Taphouse in Lancaster.

The coconut’s been caramelised, the toffee has been spread on toast and we’re all gonna have a fun time with this ruddy mahogany treat. Big malty Kahuna spell cast on this ale. Some light, limey citrus hop punch blended well keeps this barley brah from getting too cozy. I love coconut beer in the right context and this does it nicely, if anything it needs to be more pronounced and then balanced by more hops.

Poured from bottle into pint glass
Appearance – The brew has a light brown colored body with a large billowy head formed upon pouring. The head had some persistence and faded slowly to give a light amount of lacing.
Smell – Coconut is the most potent aroma present. There is a lighter caramel aroma and an ever so light roasted malt aroma mixed in as well.
Taste – The taste is of roasted malt up front. There are flavors of caramel and coconut that mix well with the originating roasty flavor. While it starts out a little lighter, the coconut really comes on more toward the end of the taste and leaves a rather nice, slightly sweeter, coconut flavor on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is on the light to medium side with a slightly below average carbonation level. The carbonation is very fitting as it allows the smoother tastes to really permeate the tongue. The body however is a little too thin and could use a little boost in thickness.
Overall – This is a very easy drinking brew with a great aroma and flavor. While the body is a little weak, it definitely should not keep anyone from trying this one.

12oz bottle. A unique take on a brown ale. Filtered amber-brown body. Thin beige head. Sweet, this sugary dark malt in the aroma. Medium bodied, pretty sessionable. The coconut imparts some nutty vanilla. The filtration, while keeping it easy drinking, sort takes away from the heart and soul of the beer, the rich malts. OK, decent tasting but almost a macro sensibility in body.
