COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Is there anything more iconic of the lush tropics than the coconut? The delicious heart of this island treasure has a nutty, toffee flavor and aroma that sends you straight to the beaches of Paradise. Kick back with a Koko Brown, brewed with real toasted coconut, and savor the mahogany color and smooth, roasty malt taste. Available Winter/Spring Koko Brown pairs well with coconut and caramel flavors, such as Thai curries, BBQ meats and carne asada. Its refreshing nutty aroma makes for the perfect beer after a day on the water.

Bottle. The look is a beige colored head, brownish reddish in color, and clear. The smell is toasted coconut, malt, roast, rice, and German chocolate cake. The taste is malt, chocolate, slight coconut, roast, and ok.

From a 12 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a clear light cola brown with an off white head. Nutty aroma. Flavors of cocoa butter. Tastes nice and it might work as a sunscreen.

A little heavy on the coconut but has some decent flavors including that of roasted barley, chocolate, and chocolate. Different but worth checking out

The appearance has a dark brown colored body with a decent one finger white foamy head that lingers a bit and then falls and leaves a nice spider web lacing sticking finely to the sides of the glass. The smell has a light toasted coconut up front through some nice roasty somewhat nutty tones. The taste has a coconut flavored nuttiness with a nice maltiness coming through. There is no aftertaste, and a somewhat dry toasty malty finish. The palate has a light to medium sort of feel in body. She is somewhat sessionable. Carbonation is extremely smooth, and feels awesome around the mouth and tongue. Overall, its been awhile since Iíve had some Kona and Iím glad I picked this one up as I would have this nice Brown Ale again.

Rich chestnut colored pour. Medium-sized off-white head. Plenty of lacing. A malty aroma. Tons of vanilla in the mouth with a nutty malt flavor. Almost an amaretto flavor. Sweet and creamy finish.

Bottle at home thanks to nielsenratings. Aroma is sweet and nutty, with some toasty coconut. Taste is largely the same, pretty good.

Poured from a tap. Medium brown color, medium off white frothy head. Lacking any real nose. Light body with a watery malt with a cocoanut accent with a fairly week palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sweet brown ale with hints of chocolate. Clear dark brown body with small beige head, aroma of chocolate, molasses and a hint of coffee. Taste is sweet, more chocolaty as it warms up. A little on the sweet side, but not too bad.

Bottle. Clear brown color with a small off white head. Dominant toasted coconut aroma. Mostly sweet caramel malts blended with coconut. Slight lingering roasted bitterness. Thin, dry texture with good carbonation. A nice change of pace from the normal browns out there.

I like the taste but dislike the smell. I normally donít like dark beers, but this is delightful. Not too strong for a dark beet wimp like myself. Not hoppy. No unpleasant aftertaste. I like it.
