Is there anything more iconic of the lush tropics than the coconut? The delicious heart of this island treasure has a nutty, toffee flavor and aroma that sends you straight to the beaches of Paradise. Kick back with a Koko Brown, brewed with real toasted coconut, and savor the mahogany color and smooth, roasty malt taste. Available Winter/Spring Koko Brown pairs well with coconut and caramel flavors, such as Thai curries, BBQ meats and carne asada. Its refreshing nutty aroma makes for the perfect beer after a day on the water.

UPDATED: MAR 26, 2012 Toasted coconut leads the aroma and taste. Pours a darker amber brown with a subtle tan head with light lacing. Good toasted malt and caramel. Definitely a surprise.

Bottle from Canalís in Lawrenceville, NJ. Light chestnut pour with a medium dark tan head and very little lacing. Faint aroma of toasted malt, caramel and coconut, The coconut flavor hits you right away - and doesnít let up. I found it overbearing. Toasted malt, biscuits, a little toffee and milk chocolate in there as well but badly overshadowed by the coconut. Mouthfeel on the thin side and a quick, modestly dry finish. Iím a big fan of Konaís Pipeline Porter. The toasted coconut in that brew is well balanced and complimentary. Quite the opposite in that brewís lighter cousin.

12 oz. bottle. Pours dark copper with a medium, beige head. The aroma is toffee, caramel, milk chocolate, and toasted coconut. The flavor is very sweet, with a slightly unpleasant bitterness toward the end. The palate is medium, sticky and astringent. Overall, this is a very interesting and delicious beer.

Bottle. Faint aroma of bread and roasted nuts. Poured a clear medium brown color with a dmal white head that vanished quickly. Very complex taste of nuts, caramel, coconut, with slight vanila. Very active carbonation on the palate. One of the best browns Iíve ever had. Highly recommended. Cheers
