COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Is there anything more iconic of the lush tropics than the coconut? The delicious heart of this island treasure has a nutty, toffee flavor and aroma that sends you straight to the beaches of Paradise. Kick back with a Koko Brown, brewed with real toasted coconut, and savor the mahogany color and smooth, roasty malt taste. Available Winter/Spring Koko Brown pairs well with coconut and caramel flavors, such as Thai curries, BBQ meats and carne asada. Its refreshing nutty aroma makes for the perfect beer after a day on the water.

The coconut flavour comes through very strongly, and it’s surprisingly pleasing. It makes the overall taste quite sweet.

Bottle. Faint aroma of bread and roasted nuts. Poured a clear medium brown color with a dmal white head that vanished quickly. Very complex taste of nuts, caramel, coconut, with slight vanila. Very active carbonation on the palate. One of the best browns I’ve ever had. Highly recommended. Cheers

Sweet coconut aroma. Reddish brown pour. Tastes sweet like coconut and hazelnut. Slightly over sweet.

Definite coconut smell and taste. I love coconut so its hard not to like this. A good spin on brown ale.

Pours a light/medium brown with a 1/2 inch of head that dissipates fairly quickly. Not getting much aroma, although what is there is slightly sweet. Taste is a standard brown ale basically.. some light roast malt/chocolate malt character - I get essentially no coconut flavor or aroma. Drinkable for sure, but a bit disappointing as I had high hopes for this - I love Kona’s other "flavored" brew - Wailua Wheat.

Bottle from Canal’s Berlin. Pours out a moderate to light brown color with a small white head. Aroma is of freshly toaste coconut, light caramel malts, vanilla and some sugary notes. Taste is milky smooth toasted coconut, light caramel, vanilla, bread, and maybe a little bitterness on the finish. I like this one, but couldn’t have too many.
