3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear brown, nice dense brown head. I get maple, molasses, and of course coconut. Taste is what Hawaiian Tropic smells like, if that makes any sense. Nice mix of coconut and traditional Brown Ale flavors. I would buy this again.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Single bottle purchased from an ABC store on Kauai Island on 04/07/2012. Colour: Light brown with minimal head. Nose: Lots of burnt barley and malt. Buttery coconut comes in light waves. Taste: Medium-light sweet, medium-light bitter, medium-light sour. The coconut creaminess coats the cooked malt beautifully for a great mouth feel. Besides that, the balance of the malt-hop-coconut play is off and there is tugging in several directions. The finish is better as it settles to a suttle sweet coconut.

Bottle. Pours clear brown with tan fizzy head. Aroma of subtle toasted coconut with hints of chocolate with signs of dark roast. Flavor is much the same with an off-dry characteristic. Mouthfeel is light body with high carbonation. Overall, a tasty brew but I enjoyed it more after the first bottle.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The beer pours a medium brown color with an off-white head. The aroma is full of chocolate and toffee notes, exactly what I expect from a big American brown ale. The flavor is more complex. There chocolate and toffee are still present, but the toasted coconuts also really come through and add to the overall flavor. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Very nice.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Tattooed Mom. Dark honey color with a thin white head. Strong taste of real coconut. Not just a one note, but the full range of flavors you get from fresh toasted unsweeted coconut. Medium body. Palate is a bit oily. Some hop bitterness and burned sugar balance things out. Not for everyone, but it is quite an unusual taste.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Medium brown with a thin off-white head. Nutty malty aroma. Toasty, nutty malt on the palate, the coconut flavors compliment the rest of the beer really well. Great brew.

On tap at the dutch, sample by ser alex stark. Amber capped by small head. Nose is kinda bland. Big sweet taste, toasted malt, chocolate, cocoa flakes. An almond joy in liquid form. Aight, but not my cup of tea. I assume Joffrey Baratheon (lannister) would enjoy this.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Admittedly surprised how much I liked this, pours deep ruby brown with a finger thick tan head. Full nose of caramel, coconut, chocolate and moderate fruit. Maybe it’s just because Girlscout Cookie season ended, but this brought me back a couple months to when I opened my first box of Somoas. A slight bitterness in the flavor added to the Somoa like nose. Dry, decent finish and medium mouthfeel.

Great beer that I have had on tap and in the bottle.
First had @gabf.
Love the cocoanut. It is pure bliss with the toasted coming through. I taste a butterscotch in there as well but who knows.
