3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma- Coconut as you would expect, but i also get some aroma that almost seems like it was barrel aged.
Appearance- its brown, just like its supposed to be.
Taste- I get almost a chocolately taste in the middle of the mouth, follow by a nice coconut at the end. The aftertaste is quite roasty and malty.
Overall- This beer was an impulse buy for me. It was new and different so i had to have it. Completely surprised by it. Drinks amazing well. Nothing is out of balance or overpowering. Definitely one you can drink a few of a night.

Bottle. A light, clear cola-brown with a very thin, quickly disappearing white head. Aroma of coconut, caramel malts, chocolate, very sweet. Taste mildly sweet, roasty, of coconut, a little coffee, chocolate. Slightly dry roasted finish, maybe a little metallic. Soft-medium carbonation, fairly light-bodied. Pretty enjoyable.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Brown in color with a finger of off-white head. The coconut certainly comes through on the aroma. Nice and nutty as well. There’s also a hint of vanilla to it. Quite sweet with plenty of toffee and caramel, too. Lots and lots of coconut flavor with the toast, nuts, and sweet malt taking a bit of a back seat on this one. Nice balance of sweetness and toast/roast malt flavors to prevent it from being cloying.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
On draft at Pinnochio’s in Media. Pour was brown colored, completely headless and no lacing, looked uber flat. The aroma was sweet coconut and chocolate. The flavor followed, coconut sweet light chocolate, nothing to balance this. A sad concoction, waste of "beer." Mouthfeel was very lightly carbonated, a bit sticky, a joke.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: FEB 21, 2014 12 oz bottle. Not quite 2 weeks old; that’s fresh! Clear brown with beige frosting. Nose is brown sugar, toasted coconut and slight ash. Medium body with a sourish tang. Taste is toasted coconut and macadamia nut, bitter cola and molasses with a grassy finish. Good session brown ale. I’d buy this again.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 02/09/2012. Pours a clear dark reddish-amber color with a medium foamy light beige head that diminishes slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted nuts, malt and vanilla. Medium body with a roasted coconut flavor as well as notes of earthy malt and caramel. The finish is roasty with a coconut aftertaste. I am not a fan of coconut typically but it works in this beer. Above average overall.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Gorgeous, deep crystal brown with a creamy tanned head. Pleasant toasted coconut and brown malt scents waft off the glass like a Hawaian evening breeze. The defining characteristic of this brew is the splendid naturalness of the coconut character. Dried coconut smell intermingles with a well-structured brown malt body. These components meld perfectly in flavor. Dryish coconut-whiskey finish. Just a superbly crafted and nuanced take on the brown ale style.

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2014 Light brown, nutty character and a hit of toasted coconut, has a lot of sweetness. The coconut sweetness is pretty strong but there is some nutty balance.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
a - a nice dark brown with a decent head that fades to a sheen pretty quickly. s - coconut, butterscotch, toffee and chocolate malts. t - just like the smell but the butterscotch is lingering only at the end. Nice chocolate touch from this. f - light mouthfeel, med dryness with some lingering. I can’t pinpoint what is missing, but something on the mouthfeel would really bring this more alive. o - overall, a pretty solid beer! I wasn’t sure what to expect but the coconut is subtle enough with the nice malt back that I could definitely have a couple.
