COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Is there anything more iconic of the lush tropics than the coconut? The delicious heart of this island treasure has a nutty, toffee flavor and aroma that sends you straight to the beaches of Paradise. Kick back with a Koko Brown, brewed with real toasted coconut, and savor the mahogany color and smooth, roasty malt taste. Available Winter/Spring Koko Brown pairs well with coconut and caramel flavors, such as Thai curries, BBQ meats and carne asada. Its refreshing nutty aroma makes for the perfect beer after a day on the water.

Bottle. Clear brown color with a small off white head. Dominant toasted coconut aroma. Mostly sweet caramel malts blended with coconut. Slight lingering roasted bitterness. Thin, dry texture with good carbonation. A nice change of pace from the normal browns out there.

I like the taste but dislike the smell. I normally don’t like dark beers, but this is delightful. Not too strong for a dark beet wimp like myself. Not hoppy. No unpleasant aftertaste. I like it.

On tap at Battleship. Pours dark brown with an off white head. Aroma is of malts, cocoa, coconut, and some roasty toastiness. Taste is of roasted malts, infused coconut, brown sugar, and a slight bitterness. Lighter body. Leaves a slightly spoiled coconut and malt finish. Nothing great here.

Bottle poured a brown in color with a one finger off white head. Aroma has chocolate, coconut, roast, and mild earth. Mouth feel is medium light and the carbonation average. Flavor has roasted malt, chocolate, coconut, and some nuts.

Definitely can smell the coconut! Not a bad brew from the islands! Would love to try it on a hot summer's day and see if it goes down better! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Growler. Pours a clear cola brown with a very thick light tan head - the growler I got fizzed like champagne, so have a towel handy. Malty aroma has an overtone of coconut, wood and cloves. Malty core of the flavor supports woody clove and coconut notes, a touch of sweetness and a hint of caramel. Texture is smooth and fairly fizzy, if not firm. Go koko-nuts!

**I might be resenting this bottle a bit on spec due to the cold, bitter winter that’s going on right now. Fresh bottle. Pours muddy brown with quarter inch head. Aroma is great - that toasted coconut, some cocoa/caramel. Taste is creamy coconut, roasted malt and some nuttiness on the end. All elements show up and nothing is overpowering. Very smooth.

12 ounce thanks to the brewery. Light brown color. Light body. Taste is mix of light brown ale with coconut and some cola. Maybe some artificial flavors.

12 ounce bottle, very cool bottle with the Hawaiian islands imprinted on it. Extremely coconuty aroma, good toasted coconut taste with a sweet slightly hoppy finish. solid beer

12 ounce bottle from jdb288. A dark brown pour that has a one plus finger of head. An aroma of earth and coconut. First sip is coconut with big malts that are cocoa. For the most part this is a coconut beer and it is a pretty tasty offering.
