COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Is there anything more iconic of the lush tropics than the coconut? The delicious heart of this island treasure has a nutty, toffee flavor and aroma that sends you straight to the beaches of Paradise. Kick back with a Koko Brown, brewed with real toasted coconut, and savor the mahogany color and smooth, roasty malt taste. Available Winter/Spring Koko Brown pairs well with coconut and caramel flavors, such as Thai curries, BBQ meats and carne asada. Its refreshing nutty aroma makes for the perfect beer after a day on the water.

brown ruby color, aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, and a very small amount of coconut, flavor is coconut, chocolate, roasted malt, toast, slightly watery, pretty good for the style

Pours from 12oz. bottle a clear, deeper brown colored body with a finger-width, creamy, beige head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice, creamy lacing throughout. Aroma is of toasted nuts, caramel, a light coconut sweetness, a hint of cocoa, a touch of roast, and some light earth. Flavour had some light-medium malt sweetness, light chocolate, black walnut like bitterness with a hint of the coconut. Decent from a style that I’m not a fan of.

Drank on 4/11/2014. Picked up for $ 1.47 per 12oz bottle. Brewed with toasted coconuts. It’s a mahogany color. There’s hints of coconut flavors throughout the duration then has a slightly bitter finish. It got better the more I drank.

Bottle, at Kristiansand Ølfestival. It’s a clear brown beer, topped by a small off-white head. There’s nuts, bread, caramel, some coconut and dark chocolate in the aroma. Some coffee kicks in in the flavor, along with a hoppy bitterness, else it’s the same bread, caramel and coconut known from the aroma. Medium body, soft and dry on the palate. Bread, caramel, some coconut and chocolate in the finish. A pleasant one, but a tad boring. 140823

Pours clear brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, coconut and caramel. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with a long coconut and caramel finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Tap. Clear dark red brown pour with a big head that dissipated quickly. Coconuts, roasted almond, caramel, soda. A lot of coconut, but not overwhelming. Medium body with slightly oily and sweet finish. Although I am not a coconut fan, this is decent

Bottle at beer festival. Poured a clear reddish brown with no noticeable head. Aromatics found were of coconut and chocolate cowered marshmallows. Had a good sweet taste with a slight fizz to it. Nice

Draft. Medium brown color with tan head. Moderate body, very unique taste, must be coconut that comes thru as a spice. Okay, but not my thing

Pours a light brown color topped with very generous cream colored head. There is a very pleasant malty aroma, slightly roasted and also the aroma of coconut. The taste is creamy and sweet, slight roasty feel and with nice bitterness in the finish. Surprisingly nice cocnut taste in the aftertaste makes this one of the nicest beers lately.

Thanks to Dave. There is a cool-looking paddle boarder on the label. A dark pour with a decent, but flimsy topper. Flavor of caramel, nut brown ale, and a little pumpernickel. Aroma is light, sweet, and bready. The light, cola smoothness almost seems ready for a scoop of vanilla ice cream. There is a dash of limey sourness on the palate that doesn’t hurt. Pretty good.
