COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Is there anything more iconic of the lush tropics than the coconut? The delicious heart of this island treasure has a nutty, toffee flavor and aroma that sends you straight to the beaches of Paradise. Kick back with a Koko Brown, brewed with real toasted coconut, and savor the mahogany color and smooth, roasty malt taste. Available Winter/Spring Koko Brown pairs well with coconut and caramel flavors, such as Thai curries, BBQ meats and carne asada. Its refreshing nutty aroma makes for the perfect beer after a day on the water.

This beer has an awesome nutty flavour to it that I just canít get out of my head. Sure I was on holiday and had had a few before this, but definitely one of the best beers Iíve had. Reminds me a bit of Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar.

First taste was at the Kona Brewery, Hawaii on tap (pint glass) and was elated to find it bottled mainland! Coconut aroma is sweetly floral but is grounded by a nutty malt taste. Slight sweetness is balanced by light hops making for a refreshing beer, and like they say, Liquid Aloha!

12 oz bottle poured into a frosted mug at Billyís in Pittsburgh, PA. Quite delicious with plenty of coconut that doesnít overpower the other wonderful stuff in here. This is a beer thatís waiting to be discovered.

Damn I love this beer and do a happy dance when I see itís come out for the winter. Roasty, sweet smell with a medium head. Great tasting brown on its own but made even more so with the coconut. Definitely not subtle but not overpowering either. Better on location, but still amazing in the bottle.

At the Honolulu airport Kona Brewing pub. Probably the best Kona Iíve had. Clear dark amber color with slight foam offwhite head and some lace. Sweet malt flavor with noticeable coconut. Not as intense as the Maui Coconut Porter, but still an impresive beer. Very nice lingering aftertaste.

Great beer that I have had on tap and in the bottle. First had @gabf. Love the cocoanut. It is pure bliss with the toasted coming through. I taste a butterscotch in there as well but who knows. @boisebeer

Medium red brown with a thin cream colored head. Aroma is caramel, hazelnuts, toasted coconut, and graham crackers. Flavor is primarily sweet, but not overpowering in any way. Body is on the lighter side. This beer is almost a dessert by itself, with a little chocolate you could have somoa girl scout cookies.

UPDATED: MAR 31, 2014 I adore everything about this beer. Potentially my favourite (although I admit my prominent bias due to my love of browns and coconut). A pungent nutty coconut scent that smells of actual coconut as opposed to candy. Creamy, medium body. Every aspect of the taste is wonderful. Gustatory bliss. Malt, coconut, caramel, and some mild bitterness and hops to finish just to ensure that the beer isnít too sweet. Kona Koko Brown: I love you.

Wow...the toasted coconut is a fantastic original addition to an already flavorful brown ale. Dark brown pour with a medium caramel head. Great nutty aroma with an excellent finish. Kona makes some great beers but this is my favorite of theirs.

Appearance: Pours a deep amber brown with a thin swirly layer of froth atop.

Aroma: Fresh cracked coconut(the hair, the meat, the milk) Sugar, cinnamon, horchata.

Taste: Chocolate covered toasted coconut egg.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, creamy carbonation.

Overall: A great beer that really captures the imagination through believable fresh flavors.
