Pours a clear brown with light taupe head. Sweet milky aroma. Pure crisp malty taste. Coconut adds sweet balance. Good restrained bitterness on the finish.

KLCC Microbrew Fest. Poured a light, shiny brown with a moderate tan head and little lacing. Smells of coconut, brown sugar, coffee, caramel. Tastes mainly of caramel and chocolate but with some light flakings of coconut mixed in there, just much less of it than I was expecting. Decent brown ale, where the coconut flavor accentuates rather than dominates the beer.

Toasted coconut aroma. Golden-brown in color. Light brown ale-ish flavor with a slight coconut finish. Its different, but I really liked it.

Poured a maple brown. Nice head. Aroma was nice to me as it was heavy on coconut. Taste is nutty with notes of malt, caramel and coconut. I would have preferred more coconut in this but in the end it is a very drinkable brown ale. I would prefer this to many mass produced brown ales such as New Castle.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of malt, toasting, nuts, slight roasting, and slight cocoa. I do not get any coconut. Poured copper/deep orange in color with a small, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer. Clear. Sparkling. Flavor is lightly sweet and slightly bitter. Tastes of malt, cocoa, nuts, toasting, and roasting. Again, I get no coconut. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, toasting, cocoa, nut, finish is lightly sweet and dry.

UPDATED: APR 15, 2013 A good, creamy brown ale with some milky coconut chocolate taste to it. Really solid, wish I had bought more.
2013: I feel like the beer is a decent amount worse than last year’s version, not nearly as much coconut. Kind of generic tasting, which isn’t bad, but not great either.

2/27/12. 12oz bottle. Clear almost reddish pour with a small tan head that’s gone fast and laces a bit. Sweet chocolate aroma with touches of nuttiness and coconut. Sweet chocolate flavor with even more nuttiness and lingering coconut. Not bad, but I’d hope for more and fresher coconut.

Bottle - deep dark (but still translucent) brown with a nice beige head. Has an aroma and taste of roasted malts. It does have a hint of coconut on the palate. Average body and medium mouthfeel. Nice brew and I wouldn’t turn down another one.
