COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Is there anything more iconic of the lush tropics than the coconut? The delicious heart of this island treasure has a nutty, toffee flavor and aroma that sends you straight to the beaches of Paradise. Kick back with a Koko Brown, brewed with real toasted coconut, and savor the mahogany color and smooth, roasty malt taste. Available Winter/Spring Koko Brown pairs well with coconut and caramel flavors, such as Thai curries, BBQ meats and carne asada. Its refreshing nutty aroma makes for the perfect beer after a day on the water.

Well the toasted coconut worked well in the nose here, mixing with light chocolate and nutty malt components, but it was really not to my liking as a flavoring. It just didn’t seem right in a beer, clashing with those same malt flavors. Fair palate, balanced on the whole.

Was not a fan of this brew. I didn’t realize there was a taste of coconut until someone read the label, I had an "Ah ha!" Moment. I hate coconut, gross.

Actually as advertised. Tastes like a good brown ale with the addition of coconut. Coconut in the aroma as well. Very nice, couldnt ask for much more in this style.

Pours a clear mahogany color with barely a finger of white head with good lacing. Aroma has a toasted nuttiness with a bit of toffee and vanilla and perhaps a hint of cocoa. Toasted malt flavor gives way to a nuttiness mid palate and then the sweet taste of coconut and vanilla. Finishes semi dry with the slightest taste of wood and earthy bitterness. Mouthfeel is semi creamy and medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Not a bad brown ale if you like them a little sweet and enjoy the taste of coconut.

Clear brown body with a tan head. Coconut, roasted malt, and caramel in the aroma. Starts with a full coconut flavor on top of a roasted malt; just a bit nutty, and toffee. Finishes mildly sweet, mildly roasty, and with just a little coconut left over.Smooth, medium bodied palate.

Pours a rusty amber: sudsy off-white trim head. Tastes and smells of coconut extract, soil, roast, and autumnal leaves. Milk chocolate, and yeast by swallow. Decent for what it is.

Bottle (12 oz). Thanks to Andrew for this one! Clear amber/brown with a small tan head and small lacing. Aroma is mainly of coconut with slight roasted malt and caramel. Taste is slightly sweet with a lot of coconut, slight roasted notes and caramel. Medium body. Unique beer. At first, I thought the intense coconut would be too much, but it was quite enjoyable. I wouldn’t drink a pint but it was fun to try. Quite tasty.
