Longboard Island Lager is a smooth refreshing lager fermented and aged for weeks at cold temperatures to yield its exceptionally smooth flavor. A delicate, slightly spicy hop aroma complements the malty body of this beer.

Clear yellow body, with slight amber hue. Fading fizzy white head. Dull, sweet cardboard aroma. Some stuff happens in the flavor. Hops are there, with some underlying sweetness. But it still has an annoying taste component. Its ok, but not great.

Had a malty aroma and was gold in color with no head. Little bitterness on the palate that left that bitter aftertaste. Might have to get one more to see if it has a thirst quenching effect after a hot day out in the Arizona sun.

Bottle poured a light gold with no head. Slight aroma of grass and corn. Light malt flavor with a bit of a metalic finish.. not bad.

UPDATED: MAY 1, 2009 Draft, at the Honolulu airport. Straw body, white head, some hops in the nose. German hops, weak malt, fairly forgettable, but heaven after having to deal with the idiot security staff at the airport (why can’t I take two bags on the plane? You let that girl through, and she has THREE!) RERATE 4/08: Bottle. Lagerish nose, nice malt/hop balance, really a lot better than this site’s average rating would suggest. Another rerate: Now that I have a handle on DMS, this has quite a bit of it. That would be that "lager" flavor. Nice sweet DMS thing, some hops, a nice basic lager.

Bottled. Slightly cloudy light yellow, small white head, active carbonation, generally unattractive looking beer. Light sweet malt, metallic overtones. Suprised by the rich flavor (for a lager) and actually, it’s not bad. Nice malt body, some hops, dry finish, overall a nice lager.

(Draft) Light yellow with a small whitish head that disappears quickly. Sweet grainy aroma with some citrus. A nice hop start with no skunkiness really light on malt but true to style. Not to bad if you like lagers.

Burnt Beer Night: Goldish color with little head. Vague Saaz aroma and taste. Kind of on the grainy side. Quality swill.

AlchemistZ (493) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - OCT 14, 2004
Color of dark straw with a pale white head. The aroma has noble hops, sulphur, and sweet, gainy malt. The sweet, grainy malt is balanced by a saaz hop flavor that creates a winy overall character. There is a big flavor up front then dries out in the finish. A solid bitterness throughout this beer. Better than many pale, craft lagers.

Burnt Beer Night: Yellow Coloring... Not a Ton of Flavor...but some Hops and a Flowery Feel To It. Good Lawnmower Lager.
