Longboard Island Lager is a smooth refreshing lager fermented and aged for weeks at cold temperatures to yield its exceptionally smooth flavor. A delicate, slightly spicy hop aroma complements the malty body of this beer.

UPDATED: APR 15, 2008 12oz bottle. Clear golden with a firm white head. Slightly malty aroma with some herbal hops. The flavor is really clean and crisp, with lighter, but sweet malt and a good hop balance that finishes slightly bitter. I like the cleanliness and drinkability, but none of the flavors hit me over the head. Makes a really good choice if macro lager is the alternative. (3.0) Rerate: Draught. Looks really nice, with great head retention and carbonation trails, so up a point there. The flavor seems more one-dimensionally biscuit accented, with less hop spice than before, down a point there. Down one overall too for being less interesting overall, but still a good choice when you’re in the mood for something clean.

Draught. Pale golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma was slightly sweet with hops in the background. Flavour was refreshing with more hops. Short, clean finish. Very drinkable and refreshing.

Pours a slightly cloudy straw/gold with a flimsy head of tiny bubbles. Smells of... nothing. But atleast it doesn’t smell bad. Flavor is a little malt with a little hops. Nothing amazing but very drinkable and refreshing. Good beer for a hot day.

Tap @ House of Brews. Pours a pale gold color with a small, fluffy white head. Aroma is wheat, grass, and slight hop. Taste is slight malt with wheat, grass, and hop notes detectable as well. Smooth finish and clean throughout, though not extraordinary in any way.

Pours light golden with a mostly receding white head. Aroma of bready, cookie malt, herbal hops. Taste is much the same, bit of sweetness and noble hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with lively carbonation. Pretty decent lager for a tropical island, better than the typical industrial swill.

Enjoyed many of these at the Grand Hyatt on Kauai. Not a great beer, but it was the best of what was around. Nice darker golden color with a thin head. Faint hop aroma - should be more prevalent for this style. Fairly non-descript on the palate. Again, hop bitterness was lacking.

bottle. Poured a light golden with a fairly thin white head. Light in the aroma department. Malty taste elevated above crispness that I expected from a Lager which made it pretty smooth. Taste grew on me as I drank, more flavor than expected. Like the subtle hop flavor. OK.

Was served this at a restraunt. It was served too cold in a chilled glass. Taste is light malt with a nice hoppy finish but pretty understated. . .a bit watery. Lively carbonation and a nice mouth feel.

Serviceable lager. Only qualm I had was that it couldve had a more interesting finish, like maybe a more unique grassy hop or something.

Poured amber with a small off white head. Light aroma of malt. A watered down malt flavor. Nothing exciting.
