3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Gold, mainly clear, a little hazy. Crisp, dry, refreshing. Sweet malt, hints of lemon and honey. More hop presence than most lagers. Very smooth mouthfeel with a clean finish. Not the greatest, but not a bad random lager to keep in the fridge either.

Bottle from QClub at home. Translucent golden pour with limited head. Bubbly. Aroma is typical lager with some floral hops and maltiness. Taste is crisp lager but covered slightly by smooth malty sweetness and a tiny bit of floral hops. Bitter finish. Slightly above normal lager but not that much better.

Keg @ Crown & Kettle, Manchester. Straw blonde with a very thin head. Has a light malty nose, fairly active with its carbonation in the palate and has a touch of fruit in its taste.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The nose prototypical lager malt, crisp and fresh, a pleasing malt rich and sweet start, the middle is moderate in its feel. Finish is mildly acidic, the hops present and apropos to the style with the aftertaste dry and sweet, a drinkable but unremarkable lager.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Poured from a pint can, a clear golden hue with a 1.5 finger head that diminishes leaving heavy lacing. Aroma is a metallic scent with a cereal and light maltiness. Taste is of bread and nothing else. smooth yes, however it is of almost adjunct lager quality, yet no adjunct taste. Not a great beer and won’t be hunting this down again.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
355 ml bottle bought at Great Food Hall in Pacific Place, Admiralty during Summer’s"American Food festival".
Translucent light golden yellow colour; Three- quarter finger head and crumpety white foam which fades in 40 seconds; Excellent sticky lacing with notable small carbonation; Aroma of moderate full malt, with honey, very light floral, strong bread and dough, strong yeast, light lemon and very light grass; Close to light sweet taste of light malt, with slight chalk, fairly light molasses, strong bread, strong dough, yeast, faint lemon and faint bitter grassy hops; Light body, dry and slight slick palate; Mouth feel is wheat lager without wheat - maltyness is almost as thin as Grolsch but still thicker than macro Pales, pretty lean and dry with no traces of wheaty tartness – molasses is very low, the rest are just bread, dough and yeast. All other tastes are minimal. Barely so-so… Hoppiness is light floral, honey, light lemon and grass in nose, minimal lemon and grass in taste; Bitterness is just faint note for slightly malty non-finish; Very dry after taste. Very easy to mouth.
Comments: This one boasts several hops like Sterling, Millenium and Hellertau, but in truth they are almost nowhere to be found: just some lightly sweet and flowery nose. No resin, no spice, almost no lemon and near zero bitterness. On the other hand, it’s so well attenuated I thought this was a wheat lager, but it has no wheat and it’s too bready to be regarded as a macro Pale. In truth, this is a very underwhelming and disappointing Premium Lager, just as promising and disappointing as Grolsch. So sad.
