1.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Too sweet, slightly skunky. I’m drinking one now that sat in the fridge until I ran out of everything else.
You know, it’s bad enough that Foster’s ("Australian for beer") is really made in Canada. But here we have a so-called "Island Lager" with a Hawaiian-sounding brewery name (Kona Brewing Co.), people on the label surfing, and so on. But it’s actually made in freaking New Hampshire. Is there a lot of surfing in New Hampshire? Is New Hampshire an island? The beer is almost as bad as their marketing strategy.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Tastes like a simpler version of a Pilsner Urquell. It has that clear pilsner "see-through" consistency and pours very smoothly leaving zero head. The aftertaste is a hint of bitterness to it which makes this beer less desirable than some of Kona's other offerings. But it's worth trying when you are here in Hawaii to get a sample of the local beers.

Bottle 35.5cl. Slightly hazy pale golden, small fizzy off-white head, diminishes quickly, light lacing; malty aroma, grain, orange, strawberrie, floral hops; taste medium sweet and bitter, fruity; light to medium body, watery texture, average carbonation, mild dry aftertaste, crisp finish; maybe a bit thin but pleasant lager.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Pours clear and straw-colored, with barely any head. The aroma is mild, and all I could pick up was a very weak hint of malt. The taste is "pale lager crisp", and bland. The mouthfeel is light and fizzy, like any pale lager.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
355 ml bottle. Pours a clear pale golden color with almost no head left. Nose of malts and citrus hops. Quite dry and malty flavour. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. A bitter finish with a strange metallic note. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft. Yellowish-gold pour, no head to speak of really. Corn, mild hops, touch of wheat in the aroma - eh, not bad. Simple, clean and smooth pale lager taste. There’s nothing offensive here, but it’s just a bland lager. Hard to rave about it. I don’t doubt it’d be great on a Hawaiian beach!

A smooth unimpressive lager. Sweet malt flavor and aroma. Not much goin on here but not a bad beer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap, poured into a shaker. The aroma is bread dough with a light, grassy spice, and a touch of honey late. The beer pours a clear straw pale with a foamy white head that only has a light retention, but moderate lace. The taste is a medium sweet and light bitter. The beer is smooth and oily with a light fuzz and light body. The flavors on the palate are honey and corn with a slick finish of honey and a mild, grassy spice that leaves a bready aftertaste.
