Longboard Island Lager is a smooth refreshing lager fermented and aged for weeks at cold temperatures to yield its exceptionally smooth flavor. A delicate, slightly spicy hop aroma complements the malty body of this beer.

Draft at a restaurant in Marathon, Fl. Served in a pint glass, clear orange’ish golden color with white head. Aroma of sweet pale malt, slight toast and some grass. Taste is bready malt with somewhat of a spice note. Light body, moderate carbonation, crisp with a dry finish. Alright, slightly better then the average macro.

Bottle at The Roebuck, Leek (JDW) Pours a clear pale golden colour with a fizzy white head. Aroma of grain, slight bready malts, some lemon, a little honey and subtle herbal hops. Taste of grain, slight bready malts, some lemon, a little honey, a hint of banana and subtle herbal hops. Light bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, bready malt, herbal bitterness in the finish. A light, refreshing lager with decent hop flavours. Good.

Golden with a minimal head. Malts and citrus in the nose. Malts, lemon, honey and biscuit, with some hops in the palate. Easy drinking, fair and tasty lager. Not bad.

Pale golden pour with quickly faded white foam. Aroma is somewhat dank and musty with some sweet breadyness barely detectable. Flavor is much better with notes of honey and biscuit balanced by a grassy hop presence. Finishes fairly clean. This is drinkable.

Originally rated on 6/26/08. I have tried kona’s pale ale before and thought it was pretty good so i decided to give the lager a try. Have to say it was o.k., drinkable but not great by any measure. Slight scent of banana, the body had a nice dark golden color but there wasnt any carbonation to speak of, and the head rapidly disappeared. Flavor was a slight hint of malty caramel, o.k. balance, but it is a very average brew.

Tap@Kimo’s, Lahaina Aroma and taste slightly biscuity and malty. Appearance is beautifully light golden with carbonation. Palate is fizzy and refreshing. Excellent lager to enjoy in the sun. Too bad lagers aren’t exactly my favourite type of beer, which affects the grade.

Pale yellow color, moderate to small head, some lace/retention. Aroma is pale malt, light grass, bread. Light bodied, quite drinkable, very straightforward but not offensive. Great for the style.

Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Refreshing and easy to drink with flavors of malt and herbs. A very serviceable lager that I could sit and enjoy for a while. Nothing too special, but a nice local beer.
