Longboard Island Lager is a smooth refreshing lager fermented and aged for weeks at cold temperatures to yield its exceptionally smooth flavor. A delicate, slightly spicy hop aroma complements the malty body of this beer.

Transfer from BA review on 9-8-13- Poured from a bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a clear medium golden color with a tiny fizzy white head. The head fades almost immediately leaving almost no lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is mainly of a caramely sweet nature mixed with some bready and grainy smells. Along with these smells there are some light aromas of yeast as well as some grassy smells. Taste – The taste begins with a bready and sweet caramel taste. These create a base for the brew lasting throughout the flavor. As the flavors move from the initial taste, the beer sweetens as some sweeter corn flavors come to the tongue. Along with the sweet corn, so too comes some light hop tastes of a more herbal nature, leaving a sweet but still somewhat crisp flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is medium in its thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is a bit on the higher side. The higher carbonation is very nice for the sweeter flavors of the brew making it easy drinking and refreshing. Overall – Nothing too exceptional here. It is easy to drink, but overall a run of the mill lager.

Lager che sinceramente mi ha stupido, classico profumo ma con un equilibrio e una beverinità splendidi. ---Rated BY Italianbeer85

Very mediocre lager. It beats drinking Bud or Coors, but not much to say other than that.

Bottle. Fast minimal head. Cloudy pale yellow. Fruity hints on aroma. Decent hops, minerals, grains and fruits, some bitterness. Smooth to drink. Nothing special and nothing really disturbing. Might be nice on a hot beach.

Poured from a 12OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- A hint of hops with a nice floral touch Appearance- – A good orangish-yellow color with a good white head Taste- Solid grain taste with a bitter hop follow on. Palate- Medium-bodied and smooth as silk with a slight bitter finish Overall- A very enjoyable lager, this makes two good lagers from Kona that I have tried.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet corn. Flavor is corn with some spice and some pepper. Nice beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours from 12 oz. bottle a clear, light yellow with a small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing head that left behind good lacing. Aroma of sweet lager malts and a light hoppiness. The flavour is lightly toasted malt with a quenching, mild, mostly floral bitterness. Perhaps a hint of honey. The body is medium-light and middle of the road on the palate. OK, but certainly not the best from my home state.
