2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Tom Servo (424) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - JUL 12, 2005
Corn is pretty heavy in all elements of this beer. Aroma, flavor, palate. It’s all corn. Yellow color, small head, thin mouthfeel. Nothing to write home about.

Bottle. Pours a pale yellow color with no head to speak of. Not a whole lot of aroma. Smell is slightly sweet with a hint of grain. Flavor up front is sort of sweet and malty. A slight grain presence with a touch of hops. Grainy bitter finish. Drinkable, yet unimpressive.

Had this one with friends who live in Oahu. Pretty average beer, had it on tap in a frosty mug.

I don’t know where I got this bottle. Dave tells me that this a double re-gifted beer. Thick pure white creamy, bubbly head that dissipates quickly atop a clear yellow body. Kinda smells like corn, wheat, spice, and citrus fruit. The flavor is dull corn, pineapple, light wheat or barley. The palate is actually refreshing.

via blake from matt from dave from his mom... lots of re-gifting on this beer oh such an exciting sample.
pours a very light light yellow color w/ lots of carb bubbles and a small quickly dissapating head. Palate is fairly middle of the road no carbonation really wich was odd considering the appearance. Scent was pretyt much non existent i’ll guess pinapples since it’s from hawaii but I don’t actually smell much of anything other than some light grains. Flavor is very light a bit doughy with an odd spice. Overall pretty mild everything so it’s not offensive but it’s not good.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 hopscotch (8215) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 7, 2005
UPDATED: JUL 1, 2007 Bottle... Clear, yellow lager with a small, fizzy, white head. Good, creamy retention. The nose is doughy, herbal and peppery. The flavor is generously bittered and peppery as well. Light-bodied and fizzy. Crisp, lightly bitter finish. Very pilseneresque. I wasn’t expecting much as I tend to lean away from pilseners. A pleasant surprise! Yet another reason to be pissed-off about never having been to Hawaii. Thanks to my client, and friend, Rich McCauley for bringing this brew back from his trlp to the islands!

Overpriced by most standards but an ok american lager, more quaffable than many with a smoother, less sweet approach and cleaner finish.

Looks like a crappy beer, but has a creamy, almost wheat-like flavor (my dad thinks it tastes like Dos Equis but I don’t see it). Fairly smooth, but I have a feeling that this beer would just be terrible if it were just the slightest bit too warm.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Mangino (1027) - Mississippi, USA - MAR 30, 2005
Pours a bright golden yellow. Lots of tiny bubbles rise to form a small white head. Aroma of corn and malt. Flavor is sweet and a little malty, more corn, a touch of citrus. Not bad, refreshing and easy to drink. Thanks to DavidP for sharing this one!
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 JDUB (178) - Venice Beach, California, USA - MAR 24, 2005
really cloudy. There might be something wrong with this bottle. I agree with another rater’s comment about the white cake flavor- very accurate description. overall, decent beer, but elements are not in proper flight formation.
