Longboard Island Lager is a smooth refreshing lager fermented and aged for weeks at cold temperatures to yield its exceptionally smooth flavor. A delicate, slightly spicy hop aroma complements the malty body of this beer.

Pale straw yellow color with a quickly dissipating head. Looks pretty standard for a pale lager. Not much nose to this one, only a very light fruitiness. Grass and bread aroma at colder temperatures, but some banana fruitiness comes out once it warms up a bit. Itís almost too subtle to be enjoyable though. Light body, thin, fizzy, with a crisp finish. Decent pale lager but, like many beers in its class, it fails to impress the senses.

Bottled. Pours with no head and a chill haze that never goes away. Musky, vegetal lager aroma, with a drippy, worty flavor. Notes of treacle, beet sugar, and corn. Easy drinking, very low carbonation. The kind of beer you can finish in 3 sips (and probably want to, because it isnít very good).

Draft at a steakhouse north from me. Bland thin, and uninteresting. Nose of banana. Murgh.

(draught) clearish golden, constant ring of white bubbles. Nose of sugar, cereal grain and lager style hops. Taste of crisp but light earthy/citrus hops, sweet cereal grain, and orange bread. Soft carbonation and nice sweet duration. Nothing bad about this lager.

Bottle. Feint malt aroma. Pale yellow with a decent head. A nice example of the stlye... refreshing, crisp, and thirst-quenching. Not a "wow" beer by any means, but perfectly drinkable ans satisfying.

Pours a golden color with a small white head. Smell is hint of hops and malt, not much. One of the better tasting lagers, but still a simple beer.

Itís ok but not great. The aroma is bland and the taste doesnít have much flavor.
